It almost feels like the day after you drink a lot, and how that makes your liver feel, that's how my diaphram feels. It is a very low level of discomfort but has been going on for a week, anyone every had something like this?

I had this sort of a pain, kind of felt like, when I had been sitting down that maybe my underwired bra was pressing too tight and I my stomach was bloated. That was maybe four or five years ago and it used to happen roughly every day or so. It was uncomfortable but not painful enough to make me visit my GP, even though my employer at the time thought that I should!

Anyhow, it seemed to die away altogether until last year when one afternoon the discomfort started up again. That day however, the pain continued to get worse and worse until around 11.00pm I was in tears with it. At around 2am I couldn't stand the pain any longer and asked my husband to phone for an ambulance. He did and they came and took me to A & E. The doctors there asked me about the pain and thankfully gave me several shots of morphine. They said they reckoned it was probably my gall bladder or gall stones. They were right!

I had a scan a few months later and sure enough, I have three small gallstones. I am on the waiting list to have them removed but in the meantime I avoid large amounts of cheese and peanuts (weird I know!) as these are the things that seem to set it off.

I really hope that you don't have this problem but I would say to go to see your doctor as soon as possible coz the pain they cause is like no other. And I have two kids so I do know what pain is!

Good luck.

Since the liver has no feeling, I'd say it's a slightly pulled muscle. Try a moist heating pad 20 minutes at a time, 4-5 times a day.

If it starts to get worse, obviously go see a dr. But it is very possible you maybe just pulled a muscle, twisted a little wrong or even slept funny. So wait a few more days and see if it gets any better otherwise its possible you might just have an minor infection somewhere in that area.

if your liver actually hurts after you drink, its dying and you should knock off drinking, are your eyes yellow yet?

If this also has pains between the shoulder blades it is gall bladder disease.
