Just talk to him about teachers and school. See how he reacts. Building relationships take time. Find out what kind of activities or sports he likes and learn a little about them and ask him questions about those.
Also, when you talk to him, say his name once in a while. People like to hear thier own names. And whenever he walks up to you make sure you smile. There is nothing better than when someone looks at you and they smile because they are seeing you.

do the little flirting things everyone does subconsiously. like look him in the eyes and smile then look away mysteriously. Or find something to talk about like " do you think our teams gonna win tonight?" or something like that. U HAVE to get over shyness cuz if you dont talk to him. He will never knwo you are interested.

Don't be scared. Go up to him and say hi and start a conversation with him. Be yourself. How else he's gonna notice u.

Be brave and confront him and start off as friends, it is no longer a era that only a guys is doing the 'job'. Who knows he might be the 'one' in your life? You might waste your chance due to the fear of rejection inside you.

ask for the time or a change. thank him and see his reaction you can tell if he likes you from there. and smile. dont be a pushy. be gracious and polite. if he likes your natural quality he is for you other wise dont try to be something you are not. cause your prince charming is out there whom like your every way.

Write him a note. That way if he happens to not want to talk to you, you won't be humiliated in person. He'll talk to you so just write a simple note.
