What would you call yourself? In my book you are no less than a hero.

Perhaps a better definition of "Hero" would be the person that takes the situation they are in and makes it better where they are instead of going to a place where so much is GIVEN at the expense of those who are productive. THAT would earn respect and the title of "hero"

BTW... if you are going to be so "shortchanged" for work, why would you come?

I dodge a "deadly desert" and mortars and rockets.... I'm no hero... get over yourself.

I agree with you although I don't?
I used to think that no way should they come here unless in the right way, but then I watched a documentary and it showed how they lived and struggled to feed their kids and I am confused as to what I think now. I mean yes, we will get overpopulated if too many illegal immigrants come here and technically they are breaking the law, by sneaking here, but anyone with a heart will not want anyone to go through what they do. So, I don't know what I think anymore, not until I do more research on it.

Also wanted to add, I saw on the news last night, that Canada were allowing them to come over and work for them. The company flys them to Canada and flys them back after 6 months. They get paid descent, they get housing and food and they get to go back to their families. Americans say they are willing to look into something of this nature to try to control the massive amounts of illegal immigrants sneaking in.

To begin: U is usually spelled "you" and Ur is usually spelled "your".

Now let me rephrase your question from the American point of view:
1) A person leaves his family (a hero already)
2) In the process of this abandonment he goes through the desert (stupid).
3) He finds work only a felon would do because he is in fact ILLEGAL.
4) He pays no taxes but is a drain on the local economy anyway because he got sick in the desert and has no money to pay for his own health care.
5) He is a drain on the local and national economy because he is sending U.S. money to a foreign country which will eventually be used to pay for other illegal (would-be) immigrants.
6) He drives uninsured because he can't legally get a license and even if he did he couldn't afford the insurance.

YOUR RIGHT! HE'S A HERO IN MY BOOK!

If you dodge guard dogs breaking into a bank and do not find as much there to steal when you've broken in as you hoped, does that make you a hero?

It isn't supposed to be dangerous, it is supposed to not happen at all.

That is why there are laws against it.

It doesn't belong to you.

No the hero is still in Mexico waiting to come to this country legally. Why don't you pick up a book on Ellis island and read about true hero's the LEGAL immigrants who made this nation great, anyone who comes here legally is already better then the one that sneaks under the fence.

No. They should stay in their country and try to make it better.

Half their problem is all the people willing to work run to the US.

If their country is so terrible then stay fix it.

If all the ones that sneak into the US would band together in their country maybe they could change it for the better have a thriving economy some day.

They are looking for the easy way out. No integrity.

That is quite an accomplishment, but I wouldn't go marching around with signs supporting the Reconquista.

Desperate comes to mind. Now go back through the desert and figure out how to feed your family with the wages you get in Mexico.
