Your school's guidance counselor should be able to provide some resources for you. Once you're in college, they should have career counseling services available that will help you decide, based on your interests, accomplishments, and goals.

Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Many people get pretty deep into college before they take enough classes to decide what they'd like to major in. And it seems I've read that the average college graduate changes their major three times or more before graduation. No worries.

Best of luck in your pursuit of knowledge!

I wish I could tell you. I never figured that out for myself. Even if I found something that I would even slightly be interested in the colleges near me didn't offer the course. It is very frustrating when you have limited choices. The only thing I can say is if you don't figure it out by the time you finish high school just take your main courses. English, Math, etc. While you are there find out about what other courses the college offers. Or go to another college to study what you choose as your major.
The sad thing is that unless the college is in a city they are most likely limited on the choice of classes.

Chill-out and prioritize.

First thing you have to do is make sure you get into a college or a university. It's not as easy as you think. And screw community colleges. They're just high schools with ashtrays *L*

Make sure you get into a legitamate/accredited 4 year university.

Once accomplished, take "general ed." classes to get your feet wet and have fun going to parties.

Don't party too much or you'll find yourself on a "dean's vacation," i.e dis-enrolled because of poor grades.

Around the second year, you'll find your nitche and figure out want you want your career to be.
But once you've made a choice, stick to it!

There ain't nothing worse than a professional student whose got 220 credits but not a single degree.

Good luck.

You will be making the most important decisions of your life in the next few years. What you chose to study will to a great degree effect the rest of your life. Here are a few guidelines that may help.
1)Try to find an area that is of interest to you.
2) Ask yourself, is this something that you can study in school or in an apprentice program?
3)Ask yourself, is there likely to be employment in this area of interest?
4)Ask yourself, will it pay a living wage?
5) Ask yourself, Is this really what I want to do?

You will need to discuss these questions and the answers with your parents and if possible with your school Guidance Councillor.

Whatever you choose to do remember always that education is the key to a good life. The better your education.... the better your life will be!!! EDUCATION RULES!!!!!
Good Luck!!

Hi there, what interests you? Make an appoitment with your guidance counselor at your school. They also have online tests to find careers for people, just do a search on yahoo. (I haven't done one personally, just have heard of them) You can also go to the college websites of the schools you are interested in, and see what they have to offer in major choices. Good luck and enjoy your senior year next year!!!

Always go with what you like. If you decide on a career based on how much it pays, you will definetely regret it. Most high schools have a career center that has surveys that lead you (generally) in the right direction. The key is to stick with what you know and what pleases you. You can never go wrong with that.

Good luck!

Figure out what you're interests are and see if you can apply them to a career. Or you can go to your guidance counselor and take a test that determines what you might be good at and an applicable job. Anyway, a lot of people don't know what to major in even when they're in college. Don't worry if you haven't figured it out yet.
