I've been bleeding for almost 2 weeks now. Light, nothing heavy. I wasn't due until Wednesday. Wednesday I started bleeding heavy with painful cramps and I passed a large blood clot (sorry that's gross) I'd never seen anything like it. Any chance I was pregnant? I'm on ortho lo but missed a pill a little while ago. I'm not even bleeding today hardly. I haven't been sleeping and I've been having a lot of stress with my boyfriend, could this be a factor? Sorry this is long. Thanks in advance.

I missed a pill in July. I've been on the pills for 5 almost 6 months with no problems until now. I was 4 hours late taking it over a week ago?

the bleeding like that sounds like you went a little irregular from missing your pill... that is common when on birth control and you miss one, sends your period out of whack sometimes..
as for the not being able to sleep, that could be cuz of the stress from you and your b/f.. and the stress could also and most definately be the result of this irregular period.. stress is a major factor in life and can have an effect on anything (sleeping, eating, and health)

Think that you should go to the doctor and tell what has happen. It might be a chance that you are pregnant or something bad has happened and no one can do anything, but the doctor. You missed a pill and now you were 4 hours late taking it might also have something to do with your cramping and heavy bleeding. All, I can tell you is go to the doctor and see what he.she says about it.

Happens to me all the time and I am b control too...
Could be change of diet, stress, messing up your pill.... a hormone change....
Your are mostly likely not pregnant and it's due to messing up your pill and the extra stress isn't helping it.
I have the exact same thing- with the light bleeding and then painful cramps if I skip or forget a pill the month before.

But as always- check with your doctor to be 100% sure and then go treat yourself to a back massage!!!

Stress definitly can be a factor on you missing your period or spotting. I have personally had many problems with my period and I have also had a similar experience. I also have passed a blood clot before and it is most likely normal due to your stress but you should still see your OB/GYN soon or at least call them to ask them. I don't think you are pregnant but Im not a doctor, so give them a call.

Sounds like you might have been pregnant ... but you won't know anything until you ask your doctor and get checked out. Bleeding for that long ... on the pill ... shouldn't happen ... even if you just missed one pill ... I would defiantly see the doctor if your cycle is getting irregular and spontaneous ... !

It could be that your miscarrying. I did that once. It was the most painful and worst experience in my life. I had to go to the emergency room and have a d&c done. Call an obgyn and just ask question they would be more quailfied to answer that question for you.

See our doctor. They will give you a test that will tell you if you were. But see your doctor right away so they can examine you to make sure it's not something more serious.

You need to go see a doctor right away. If you're nervous about confidentiality, find a planned parenthood.
