I just bought a Whistler Radar Detector... model 1788-R.. I am just wondering what a couple of the things that come up on it mean. Such as X, K, KA, VG2, SR, POP, and LASER. Anyone know what thse are? Thanks!!!

Those are designations for all the various bands and types of radar. Some of them are old and are not used any more. you will want to worry most about laser and KA.

I know that X picks up a lot of of truckers, mobile radios, etc.. K and KA band is primarily what police are going to use that and Laser but your not going to see that one too often. As far as the others im not really sure.
