Portillo's is real good and so is Buona beef. It's a toss up.
But, make sure you get it with cheese and hot giardinera and of course. it needs to be wet ! enjoy and send me one I live in AZ now and can't get them unless I get them shipped to me. ( which I have to do at least 2-3 times a year and that is not enough ) Oh, how I miss those beefs !!! Damn, you just made me miss Chicago and those fabulous beefs !

Portillos has the best beef sandwiches.
Tuscany also has a good one, it's located on Taylor Street.
Another one is Al's. For corned beef sandwiches is AP Deli. They're all in the phone book. Also, try the City Search website. They have a lot of consumer rated restaurants for all different kinds of food.

Portillos is ok, they are a little overrated. There is a place near Wrigley that is really good, but I'm sorry I can't remember the name! Dukes on Harlem near 79th is really good, too.

There is this bar directly behind Wrigley's right field, just across the street. They have the best steak sandwich I have ever had in my entire life (that's a lot!).

I just don't know the name of it.
