As an athiest, I dont' find too much humor in religion. The whole concept of otherwise rational and intelligent people believing in some ancient mythology is, well, scary.

Not scary that they believe, but scary that it then leave them open to be blindly led around by the nose by some unscrupulous religious leaders.

I'm not sure if I find it funny. It is, without question, insane. Both are supposedly following the same spiritual path yet they slam each other with insults. Just look at Ireland?

Then, you have the Shites and the Sunnis. Same thing. Both Muslim yet they are at each others throats.

This world is one f**ked up, mad place!

Religion is about ideas and faith when one religion violates so many rules of another. The one religion breaks from it called a shism if its the same church and the 2nd religion is now considered a cult.
