My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Two pounds is really nothing to be discouraged about. You gain and lose about 3-5 pounds per day anyway. It would really depend on whether you had just eaten, the last time you used the restroom, what clothes you were wearing at the time, and whether you've gained muscles from the diet and exercise. Besides, don't worry what a scale tells you. If your clothes fit better and you look better and most importantly feel better about yourself that's all that matters.

I am sure that you meant 1900 calories a day, but that is a tad on the low side of things... You can bump that up by 500 calories by eating some more vegables/fruit and fiber. As for the weight gain...that is normal...muscle weights more that fat. This only means that you are toning your body up and that you are losing the fat and gaining back in muscle. As your body gets to a more tone, you will notice weight loss along with fitting better in your clothes. You are already seeing the first signs of a more fit body that is getting in shape, keep up the good work and with the extra calories I have mentioned, use those as snacks in between meals...keep your body fuel at an even distribution for energy through out the day. KUDOS to YOU!

well, the 19000 calories a day may be doing it! (I think you meant 1900!)
Seriously, it's MUSCLE gain! Don't rely on the scale - pounds are not a good indicator of health. Pay attention to body mass and body fat. You're actually doing great!!!

it's probably muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat which is why you should always go by how you look and feel than what the scale says. Keep it up, you are doing great!

Be aware that your weight will easily vary by 2 to 3 pounds depending on the amount of "waste products" in your body and amount of hydration.....

Don't worry. The weight gain is normal. You are building muscles to replace the fat. Muscles weigh more than fat.

one good way to see how you are doing is measure yourself - you are probably losing inches and don't realize it.
