8 weeks is best.

It will give them a little more time to learn the social skills of being around other dogs.
They are weaned at about 6 - 7 weeks but it is better for them to wait until 8 weeks.

Leave them with mom until about 6 weeks old. Then I would buy dry puppy food and grind in to a powder in the blender. Add some warm 2% canned milk to make a thin baby pabulum consistency liquid, pour it in a pie plate and put it down on newspaper for the pup(s) to dive into. And I mean dive. What a mess but they love it and get full tummys quickly.

Make it thicker and less milk each day until they are eating the hard crunchies and water on the side. By the time they are 8 weeks old they are weaned and socially mature to be placed in new homes.

I think a lot of people misread the question.
The puppies should spend nights only with their mommy, and be fed (blended) puppy food during the day at 4 weeks. The mother should be separated completely from the puppies at 5 weeks, and they should be completely weened at this point.
THEN,,,,,, the puppy's should remain together until they are at least 49 days (7 weeks), and the puppies should be completely separated from any litter mates before they are 10 weeks.

6 weeks at the very least. The better puppy breaders have a minimum of 8 weeks that they keep the pups with the mom.

6 - 8 weeks but if the mom stops nursing them before that.... that's up to her. Then take them away and start them on puppy chow! My doggie's mom stopped nursing her second litter at 4 weeks. We had them eating puppy chow and then sold to new homes by 6 weeks.
