They might be a 'big fish in a very small pond' for the market of 'lesser known players'.

Because they only go for cheap shite players.
If they went for somebody decent like Bob Malcolm, they would not be able to afford him.
That's why they are always going to be pish and that's why players of his, erm calibre go to places like the English Championship or league 1.
Utd could't afford most of the players in either division.
