Happiness keeps You Sweet,
Trials keep You Strong,
Sorrows keep You Human,
Failures keep You Humble,
Success keeps You Glowing,
But Only God keeps You Going!
(take out the God part if you are a non-believer)
Hope this helps....there is always tomorrow...live and learn...love life!

Philosophically, I think people are brought into our lives (and we into theirs) to help each other grow and evolve spiritually. Some people only put in brief, seemingly insignificant appearances and others have very prominant roles that are meant to affect us deeply.
As to why they're taken away.... Wish I knew. I'm not going to lie. It sucks. It's hard to be philosophical about losing someone. I can see (from experience) how in that loss and the absense that follows, we can learn and grow ourselves by appreciating all the one we've lost. But it is a bitter lesson. Especially, when it is someone who holds a large place in our heart.
I will say that the memories and the joy gained from having those people in our lives (to my way of thinking) is much better than to have never had them at all. And someday, we will be reunited with all of those people who have meant so much to us.
Hope you get many good answers to help you with your questions.

I lost my little sister 11 years ago and it still hurts today. I believe people come into our lives for a reason. mostly to help us grow as a person. Everyone who has come into my life has taught me something. Sometimes it is good and sometimes it is a mistake that I have learned from.

Bless you heart! You are a very caring person. It is very hard to loose someone close. Maybe this was a recent lose? We have had alot of tragedy in our family. My husband even lost his sister that was only 27 years old. Time will heal, but you will always remember that person. Sometimes its just so shocking, and hard tyo beleive. Good luck, your heart will mend.

I lost my sister to cancer seven years ago. It's just the cycle of life, I've come to accept. Yes, I dwell on it often, but I try to move forward; I know she would want that. Peace be with you.

God takes people away for a reason....it wasn't time for them to live- or they were done doing their duties..or for whatever other reason he may have. My take? I've had SEVERAL CLOSE FRIENDS pass on and I think of each as they were in my life for a reason. To show me something, teach me something....to love me...or whatever. Think about it.. why was this guy in your life? Did he change it?
