I am not anemic, I do not have a calcium deficiency, I have a job and a boyfriend. I try to exercise for at least 30 mins a day.

Is there any chance it is down to TOO MUCH caffeine?

Sleep apnea??? My mother was tired all the time, constantly taking long naps... almost falling asleep at work and the wheel. Turns out she has sleep apnea.

Yes, there is a big chance it is too much caffeine! I am prone to drink Dr. Pepper like it is water. This is NOT a good thing for many reasons, most of which I am fully aware of. There are times when I go dor days without anything else to drink, and I will consume 1-2 24ounce six packs of bottles in a 24 hour time span. I don't do that anymore since the last time iin the hospital with kidney infection so bad I could have died!! Caffeine in small to moderate amounts is ok once in awhile, but caffeine in large amounts will cause the body and the mind to slow down. It can also interact with some OTC and/or perscription medications and make you really sick. Slow your caffeine intake down, and try to replace it with water. You should start to notice a difference within a matter of hours such as 48-72. It may be hard at first, and cause headaches, nausea or you may get the shakes. That is because you are experiencing withdrawal symptoms from the caffeine. When I cut mine back, and yes I do still have to cut it back at times, even now when my intake is not near what it used to be, I do it in small amounts till the withdrawal symptoms chill some. I'll get up in the morning and drink a glass of water B-4 any caffeine. then I set a limit as to how much I can have & continue on with my day. Usually be mid-afternoon I am getting a headache, so when I take my break at work around 4pm or so I will drink some more caffeine approx 12 ounces. the rest of the time I drink water, till I am off work and at home, then another 12 ounces and water, and to bed. Caffeine close to bed time can keep you from sleeping good which in turn will cause daytime fatigue, so it is a good idea to limit your caffeine intake after 6pm. drinking water is healthy all the way around even if it is not that tasty most of the time, it also helps wash toxins that could include caffeine out of your system. If you think you are getting too much caffeine and you are tired all of the time and your doc says you are fine, then caffeine counts as a toxin. one more little thing, if you are exercising and not gettion enuf water, be prepared to pull, strain, or tear a muscle. Water helps keep muscles elastic therefore aiding in muscle health.

well, that's hard to answer....could be a number of things...When you say you have a good diet - how good is it? If you overeat even healthy food you will feel run down and if you eat a lot of processed foods they will produce the same effect. Try eating well balanced small portions of whole foods (if you don't already) and you will eventually feel like taking on the world.

Also, you may not be getting enough sleep or not getting quality sleep. How many times do you wake up during the night? If it's more than once that could lead to the zombie feeling the following day because waking up too many times interupts your body's deepest level of sleep.

Try taking a multiple vitamin...nothing you would buy at a drug store though (too many man-made vitamins..yuk)..Try a whole food vitamin such as the "Garden of Life" brand...they are also organic.

Make sure your drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day.

Get at least 30 mins of excercise a day..and don't forget strength training...It makes all the difference in the world.

I have been through many phases when I have felt exactly the same as you describe and also have had all my blood tested etc. I am a health 30 year old try to exercise etc etc. eat and sleep well. I have put it down to certain times of the month and it being related to menstrual cycle. Extreme fatigue is a symptom of PMS as I have been searching on the internet myself trying to find the cause for my zombiness!! and can last for 2 out of the 4 week cycle. So might be this. As long as you know there are no serious problems you just have to learn to live with it and listen to your body. you are obviously already doing as much as you can to relieve this feeling by exercising and eating well etc so just go with it. I have suffered from this problem myself for many years and do find periods when it is better and so make the most of my energy during these times. Hope this helps and best wishes.

If your doctor has tested for everything it might be that you could have a sugar intolerance, do you have specific times of the day when you feel tired more than others, say about 20 minutes after a sugary drink/food stuff. The other consideration is not enough restful sleep. Sleep is all very well but to have restful sleep you need to be as free as possible from worries, try a bath with candles and soft music(outside of bathroom) soak for a while not too long though as you may get wrinkly.
Worth a thought!

iredness is one of the commonest of all symptoms which people ask their GP about, so you certainly do not need to feel alone with your problem. You sound quite rightly very puzzled as to why you are so tired as you have excluded stress and any personal problems which can commonly lead to the anxieties and depression which leaves people feeling exhausted. I agree that you are not overweight, and it sounds like your diet is healthy, so we need to look at other possibilities. Amongst the commonest causes of unexplained tiredness is iron deficiency anaemia. With insufficient iron on board, you cannot make enough haemoglobin (the oxygen carrying pigment carried in your red blood cells) and severe tiredness may result. A blood test can easily rule this out. Another possibility particularly in a female is an underactive thyroid gland, which again is a not at all uncommon cause of tiredness, but which can easily be diagnosed through a blood test and just as easily corrected with the help of thyroid hormones. Sometimes a viral infection can lead to tiredness, especially glandular fever or even myalgic encephalopathy or chronic fatigue syndrome. Other infections such as brucellosis may also occasionally be responsible. Again, blood tests can help considerably. You do not sound depressed, but sometimes a premature menopause can occur and other hormonal fluctuations may result in tiredness.

After 18 months, I think you have suffered long enough. It would be appropriate for you to have at least a proper medical examination and some blood tests as well as an ECG to rule out any abnormalities of your heart rhythm. Your GP might also like to investigate a sleeping disorder such as narcolepsy, which is a tendency to fall asleep in quiet surroundings or when engaged in monotonous activity. What ever the cause, after a year and a half it really does need to be looked into more carefully and I think that at this stage you should talk to your GP in order to find a solution.

If you are sleeping enough, then it is your diet. First only eat good carbs, Oatmeal, Brown rice, fruits and vegetables. These are your energy foods. No pasta, white rice, or bread. Eat proteins and carbs at different meals, Oatmeal for breakfast, protein and greens for lunch, and a piece of fuit for a snack. Your body is a machine and this method will help keep your metabolism fueled all day. Your body produces enzymes that break down proteins and carbs, when you eat them at the same time they cancel each other out and you are not getting the benefit of the nutrition. So intead of energy you are getting tired. Though not an expert I have a good understanding of fitness and nutrition. 3 meals 2 snacks 3 hours apart, Greens can be eaten with protien , but eat fruit alone as your snack. This will give you the energy you are missing.

Possible Underactive thyroid? It only appears on tests when it's underacting, so this test maybe normal (because from the time of feeling rough, getting the next available appointment - which is about 3 weeks time) but then it might dip again in a few weeks for a while. Its pot luck when you go for a blood test if your levels are normal, over or under. Ask him to test you again.
Or could possibly be a virus?

Are you stressed or even a bit depressed. You don't have to be in a complete heap to be be feeling those things you could be carrying on as normal without realising that something has got to give. I've had this myself and it did really make me overly tired. For me personally I had to stop plodding along in the same job and change it and once I did I started to feel better (not instantly but with a bit of time). So, is there something in your life that could do with being sorted out to get it off your mind?

Could be your pillows are too soft or too hard or maybe even your mattress on bed isnt supporting you very well.

Most people need a good 8 hours sleep and its best not to sleep any longer than that otherwise you wont sleep well the next night and then you'll feel tired in morning!
