A CROCK POT DOES GREAT WITH THIS ROAST. IF YOU DONT HAVE ONE. IT WILL COOK GREAT ON TOP OF THE STOVE TOO, JUST COOK IT ABIT SLOWER ON TOP THE STOVE.

In addition to the crock pot if you don't have one:

Braise that roast; braising is slow cooking in liquid in a covered pot. You can use the same recipe on top of the stove.

Pressure cook the thing. Look up the time!

Or have some pot roast sushi!
Oh, I don't think you should BBQ it, pot roasts are a tough cut o' meat and it takes much longer 'wetter' cooking to have it come out right!

BBQ IT!!! Lay down a big sheet of aluminum foil on your counter. Place roast on it, then pur a can of cream of mushroom soup on it, and sprinkle it with a package of onion soup mix (or dehydrated onion flakes or other low salt seasoning). Wrap in the foil and place on the BBQ on med-low heat. I use a meat thermometer to tell when the roast is cooked. I liked this recipe so much, it's the only way I do pot roast anymore.

Hi Mary - you can cook it on the stove top as a pot roast - lots of good recipes availabe, I'm sure you have a cook book with some recipes, or also you can cook it in a slow cooker

You could cook it slow in a crock pot.
