I don't think there is anything you can do let alone should do. He is 24... he has to learn life lessons before he takes life seriously. I think you trying to force him to learn, or wanting him to be in a different place in his life than he is... may speak more to what needs of yours aren't being met that need to be addressed within you.

Are you too serious? Thereby finding yourself attracted to your opposite... a guy 10 years younger than you that just enjoys life?

Remember why you got together in the first place... love him as he is and if its not what you really need... move on.

Give him the space to be the person he naturally is... :)

I doubt he'll mature soon. I'm 23 and guys my age act like idiots. In fact I know alot of guys older then me that seem to act worse. I, on the other hand, am way too old to actually be 23. I've been told I am wise beyond my years...I guess that's a good thing. So, if it doesn't work out between you and him...gimme a call.

Make him focus on the long term goals and then have HIM break out the tasks involved in reaching those goals. He will realize he needs to knuckle down and get serious. Just don't make him too serious!

Good luck!

You'll probably have to wait another 20 years before he actually grows up. We men fight growing up and ridicule the serious.
As a last ditch effort you could always slap him upside the head but it would probably just make him more stupid. lol

Have a great day!!!!

This is one of the problems with such a big age difference; people see life differently at various stages of their life. Don't try to change anyone. If it isn't working out, move on.

Um.. are you trying to make us tell you he might be a bit too young for you? He is 24 years old, please let him be like a 24 year-old. If that is not what you want, maybe try someone more mature, like your own age.
