Absolutely. I'd hve trouble dealing with it but to me the most important thing is trust in a relationship. Cheating violates that of course but if it has stopped and the couple can start the healing process things can still work. If it is kept a secret then every day thereafter is a lie. That would hurt me a lot worse.

Any perfect---better than ever relationship cannot be without a fair amount of honesty which in turn generates security among the partners. The feeling that 'she won't lie to me no matter what' is more valuable. So never hide such crucial fact...only be careful with the timings.

Yes!
Do you want to know why?
Because it's not the 'perfect - better than ever relationship' if for a moment I was not good enough her and she translated those feelings into lust for another man.
I deserve to know that so we can work out those reasons why she cheated on me in the first place.

If you do cheat you are no longer girlfriend material. I might still sleep with you but you've lost any true relationship potential.
Whether to tell or not is a different story. If you do tell, I'll be hurt but at least respect you for being honest. If you don't tell and I find out on my own then I'll really be pissed.

if a girl cheated on me, then she betrayed me. we are definitely going to break up but there is still the chance that it might be on okay terms because she came clean.
if she cheats and then hides the fact, then she's betrayed me twice. and there is no chance of it ever being okay. she will cease to exist to me.
but that's me. best bet is to come clean, if you let him know what you've done, and he realizes that you are regretful, then there is a strong possibility that he'll forgive you and you'll stay together. keep quiet and he'll be really pissed when he finds out from some other source.

Yes, because if I found out 20 years later and had three kids with her I'd still divorce her. Better get it over with now instead of building something up to have to torn down

yes if she couldn't fogive herself for it b/c it would eventually ruin things.
if she forgave herself and it only happened once, then no. people make mistakes (some obviously bigger than others). i don't know about anyone else, but ignorance really can be blissful sometimes...

Would you want your B/F to tell you if he cheated on you? I guess that answer your question.
