Ask yourself this...is it really Jesus you worship, or the church itself?

That's a tough question, as each person has their own way of being religious or non-religious. I personally have never been baptised, however I believe in Jesus, God, Mary etc. I do not attend church, as I do not wish to do so. I'm not saying that going to church is wrong. I believe strongly that the sense of community one can have with a church is great, and there are many great lessons a person is able to learn from having faith. It is an individual choice, and all of us do bad things at times which need to be forgiven IE: smoking, drinking, behaving badly. You're not going to START SMOKING OR DRINKING if you don't go to church. Goodness gracious! That is a choice you have to make for yourself. I am a smoker, and would advise you NOT to smoke, ever...as it makes you sick. I'm sick all the time, and wish I never started. God will always love you, no matter what. He will forgive you for any sins if you ask for forgiveness. You don't need to go to church to believe in God or Jesus...and you don't have to go to church to pray either. Going to church can be a positive experience, and missing out once in a while is not disrespectful. No matter what age you are, you will always have some kind of issues to deal with....whether you're a teen, or an adult, you'll still have issues...just different ones. Families are funny...you think that they might be pressuring you, but in fact they just want what is best for you. And you most likely won't agree with them all the time. That's all part of growing up. Talk to them and tell them how you feel about it. Never be scared to talk to your parents, even if you "think" you know what their answer might be. They may come to a compromise. Good luck, and take care.

I think that you need that common goal to seek God, and that is found in the church. As for as is it wrong or not to go is up to you. Now, God said where two or more may gather so shall he be in the amidst. So even if you are at home and rejoicing and praising God with another individual or even sometimes yourself that is all that is important. Know that your personal relationship with God is most of all important. This is accomplished by reading the word and striving to be more like Christ, and ministering to unbelievers. Another thing is that we are all human, and fall short of the glory of God everytime that we try to be perfect. Knowing that you are not perfect, and relying on God to help you reach that goal is the main focus, but don't swim in sin.

Indeed God will lead you as He wills... if you have any Bible knowledge you already know we are not to forsake the gathering to geather... I can not know your heart... only God can... I do not know the "church" you are refraining from going to...or any other reasons you may have... you need to know that it is not unusual for even those who have been of The Faith for some time to feel as you do... DO NOT dwell on that 7 demons business... I do not think you are in that state or even close...
You do not give a lot of information that would be needed by someone ofering proper spirtiual advice... age, how long in the church,,, what denomination and lots more....
I will offer the standard advice of course... pray... lots of that...
and as you are not attending any service. as a means of having some contact with some other of the God folks... I invite you to visit my website... it is primarily for those who are not-yet-believers but you are welcome and perhaps it will get you to thinking some on something you might need to think on...if you know what I mean... and if there is a question, or a coment, you can email me at the address on the contact page there.... what ever you decide I know God will lead... and I will do some pray'n for you

I THINK YOU WILL GO TO GOD WHEN YOU ARE READY. Be good to everyone around you and you will have a wonderful life. The guiding hand is your own. If you feel confident and love yourself others will too. The church or temple attendence is not brought up when it is your time. What you have done in your life is not on that ballot either, If you really love yourself inside is the only thing that truly matters.

I think a better question would be, "If you believe in Jesus like you say you do, do you really need a building full of people to prop you up?" Church is just a building. It's structure. Maybe people do experience God through the overly organized template of a church service, but I highly doubt it.

Those 7 extra demons stuff is just scare tactics. There is no need to go to church. The bible states that where two are gathered in my name there I will be also. The church dosen't want you to know this they want you to feel dependant on them. Your faith is between you and God nobody else should tell you what to believe or think. To quote again nobody can come to God ecept through me. Your church cannot save you only God can...

Where did you hear the demon part from? What is your "religion" too? In all, you need to deal with whatever problems you have. I don't think smoking is a sin, by the way. Just a sin in health sense. But you are not offending God. We are all sinners, and we are just working towards doing what is right.

Smoking does not constitute backsliding.
The experience of some at their conversion is earth shaking.
For some nothing, apparently, occurs.
Don't worry - He's there.
Although church attendance is not a commandment His Word says one should not forsake the assembling of the saints (us) in Hebrews 10:24-25.

This affords the opportunity to support and exhort one another.
Without this fellowship and support, one is more vulnerable to the wiles of satan.

It's not wrong to occasionally miss church, but it sounds like you're hiding from God. I don't know about the 7 demons, but you should go to church and read your Bible. That's the only place you are really going to find answers. Don't not go because you know that you will sin when you leave. God saved us while we were still sinners. He doesn't expect us to be like Christ, but to try to be like Christ.
