No - an exe is a compiled binary program a batc file is just an ascii text file containing a list of executable instructions. "Interestingly" if you have two files called bill.bat and bill.exe if you type the word bill into the command prompt bill.bat will run first

I'm trying to think of a reason why. Bat files can be used virtually anywhere, that is, you can make it a desktop icon, or call it from a macro, or script, all depends on what it does. If you want it to be an exe to protect it from being modified, an easier way is to change the archive bit to hidden and read only, this will make it a little more difficult for most people to mess with it.

i dont think you can do that, i have seen other methods on how to convert it to exe. GIve me further details
