Here are a few basic beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Hopefully this will help you. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Saviour of mankind. We believe that there were more prophets than the ones in the Bible (which we DO believe in, despite what you might hear). The Book of Mormon is the writings of ancient prophets that lived on the American continents. It contains the same principles and doctrines that the Bible does. We believe that after the death of Jesus' apostles, there was a falling away, apostacy, from the whole gospel. Parts were still around but not the whole truth. We believe that Heavenly Father and Jesus called a new prophet in 1820, named Joseph Smith, to restore the fulness of the gospel. We believe that since that time there have been prophets on the earth. The current prophet is Gordon B. Hinckley, the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (The official name of the "Mormon" church) We believe that marriages and families can be together forever(Instead of "'till death do you part")

I am a LDS Mormon for more than 30 years
To us, yes, it is all true.
Why? because the Holy Ghost confirm that in my heart, and the LDS doctrine is logical and rational.
People may say the feeling of Hly Ghost is imagination, but
you would not have that impression, if you really had felt it.
LDS believes that God called Joseph Smith to restore the church that Christ established in his ministry days.
LDS believes that God leads his church through his appointed
prophet just like the ancient times.
We accept both the Bible and Book of Mormon to be witnesses of Jesus Christ.
Marriage bewteen a man and a woman is ordain of God, and is forever and not till death do us part.
AS in daily life, we work and pay taxes like every one else, we sent kids to public schools, supports boyscout, and shop at local supermarkets.
Any other Question, do feel free to contact me with email.
