@West: What caused God?

I am sure you have a much better explanation than those dumbfounded atheists and their big-bang gases..........

how do you believe the human race started.

Man evolved over millions of years.

how do you believe that all the different complexions and races came about.

50,000 years ago man walked out of Africa and migrated all over the world. Over the next 45,000 years man adapted to his enviroments. You can really see climatic adaptation today in the United States. Black people do not look like Africans. White people do not look like Europeans. Even Asians who are third generation American or longer have softer features then their far eastern counterparts. And that took only 200 years or so. In 1000 years residents of North America will be an entirely unique race unto itself.

what do you think happens when we die.

Lights out. No more suffering no more pain. Live hard to leave a lasting legacy. Making history is the only way to eternal life.

if the world started it has to end how do you think the world will end?

Why. Do you not believe in a god with no beginning or end. The earth will outlast the human race for eons after we are gone. And when the sun finally burns out. Only then will the earth finally lie dormant and lifeless.

As fantastic as this may sound to you, need I remind you that you believe that we were spoken into exsistence, a prophet parted the Red Sea, a super strong man killed a 1000 man army with a donkey's jawbone, a tiny kid made the money shot and killed a giant, 4 men were thrown into a furnace and survived, and finally a man walked on water, turned water into wine, rose from the dead and flew into the sky. I suppose you believe that a 7 headed monster with 12 horns on its head is going to rise from the sea and rule the earth until its end.

While were at it maybe Zeus really did lead the gods against the titans to victory on Mt Olympus or perhaps Osiris really did lose his manhood and had to marry his sister. Or maybe... just maybe Apple white was right about the Hale-Bopp comet and 6 billion people missed the train to heaven.

I think the real question is, how can anyone with any sense of reality or more importantly history believe the aforementioned stories.

Oh wait you have the answer for me too. I must be a false prophet.

Why is it so hard for a Christian to believe that the Atheists are fine with not worrying about how the world started?
You get different complexions and races from people being in different parts of the world. Someone who lives in an arid, hot climate will probably have dark, tanned, skin where someone who lives in the cold climates will have fair, tough skin most likely. Why do Atheists need to believe in God and the "stories" in the Bible concerning the beginning of man just because Christians do? You know what, Atheists don't give a damn how the different races or complexions of people came about. If we were meant to know the answer to that all important question then we would have the knowledge within us to answer it. Do you know how they came about, really, or did you just read it in a book, (Bible), and then ask it of the Atheists because you thought they might be able to give you an answer since the Bible doesn't really answer any of these questions? Remember the Bible is something you "BELIEVE" in not something that gives you absolute proof of anything.
Tell me something, do you know, really know first hand, what happens to you when you die? No you don't and I know that you don't know first hand because I have never heard of anyone dying and then coming back a week later to tell everyone what it was like. So guess what, Atheists don't know what happens when you die anymore than you do. They just believe that nothing happens, dead is dead. They don't live their lives in constant "fear" of what will happen to them when they do die. But Christians worry about it all the time, why?
As to how the world will end well guess what again, no ones knows for sure but I would venture a guess, Man kind will blow itself up with the bombs, war and better bombs that will be invented by someone for sure. The world will end when it does and why should anyone who is living today worry about when the world will end or how it will happen? Who the hell cares? You and I and the rest of the people here will be long gone by then.
I can't believe that people like you ask such ignorant questions. If you don't understand something then why don't you research it and study it instead of showing how ignorant you are by asking these types of questions?

I am not a scientist so I can't even speculate how the human race started. From what I've read, I can only imagine that we evolved from a number of species through mutation. Over a period of MILLIONS of years, we went from being a single-celled organism to a bi-pedal mammal. What was in between is up for debate.

This world will end when the sun begins to expand and takes all the planets revolving around it out of commission. This should happen in a few BILLION more years.

Of course, the human race may just go extinct through its own means or we'll just die out due to changes in the planet's climate or the shifting of the poles. It's starting to happen now.

When we die... POOF! That's it.. Colorful lights as your brain goes through oxygen deprevation and then.. you're done.

But, there's a snowball's chance in a firepit (cos there is no hell) that a second coming will happen or a Judgement Day™.

How we started? No clue, but don't care.
Different races? Evolution based on survival in various environments.
What happens when we die? Not sure, but not worried about it. If we are just another electric based life form, we'll stop breathing and it's all over. If there is some other level of consciousness... then it will do its recycle thing and life will go on... as it apparently is designed to do. I'm not worried either way.
How the world will end? Does it matter? (Most likely it will end due to humans damaging it).

The human race started when a group of individuals of an ancestor species that we share with apes and monkeys, but no longer exists, was separated geographically or environmentally from the rest of its population. Because its environment was calorie poor, and intelligence was useful towards aquiring better and more food, intelligence evolved. One can find clear fossil evidence of all steps from this common ancestor up to modern homo sapiens sapiens. This is macroevolution.

The various races and complexions are in-species adaptations to local environments. Various skin tones were more advantageous in different areas based on climate and amount of sun. This is microevolution.

We were conceived from nothing but a chemical process, and when we die, our chemical process ends. That's it, nothing more. There is no soul or spirit that continues after death. From nothing we come, to nothing we return. There is balance in this.

The world will end in 4.5 billion years when the sun reaches the red giant phase in its stellar 'lifespan'. The sun will become larger than the orbit of mars, meaning earth will be utterly enveloped in stellar plasma. Whether this will simply scorch the earth or utterly destroy it is, I think, still up to some debate.

You ought to be charged more than 5 points for that 4 part question. This is a 20 point question - so I'm only going to answer 5 points worth:
How did the human race start:
It started the same way every species started. One molecular enhancement at a time. First gills, then bones, then organs, then brain, etc, all the way up the line till you get to where we are now: Silicone breasts, hip replacements, collagen lips, colored hair, chemically and mechanically colored skin, etc.
Isn't evolution a trip!

I don't know and don't use a magic sky daddy as the easy answer.

Races: Micro Evolution due to climates in different ecosystems.
Death: The End - you are not that important.
The world does not HAVE to do anything. It may become unsuitable for our life forms some day. Hopefully people will have found a way to live off off the earth by then. The ones left behind will evolve or die out.

We evolved from an early form of primate. The different races came about because humans lived in different arias of the world and adapted to life there, which is why people from hot places like Africa have dark skin, and people from cold places like Norway have light skin. No one knows what happens when we die. I think the world will end either when we nuke ourselves into oblivion or when the sun explodes.

I just know I don't have those answers. Not that I have a better explanation. I have no explanation, which is better than an explanation that I cannot accept (the religious one) because it's not based on proof.

The hardest part of being an unbeliever is admitting there are things you're probably never going to know. Humans aren't the centre of the universe, we're just one more "brick in the wall". We aren't owed any explanation. This may be sad and disappointing, but I'm afraid it's true. And if it is, we'd better know it.

Evolution
Evolution
Nothing happens, you just die and decompose. Your consciousness ceases to exist.

By the world ending do you mean the end of life as we know it now? or the destruction of the planet. If it's life as we know it we will probably get snuffed out by a large extra-terrestrial impact like the dinosaurs. The earth itself will end when our sun begins to die and engulfs our planet, melting it into gas.
