I'm at a loss as to how you can claim God is fair and just, yet still believe in original sin (which, to my understanding, is that we are all born sinful). Because Adam and Eve sinned, we all have to pay the price? And it's not just Adam and Eve. The bible says God will visit his wrath upon the 10th generation of descendants of those that originally sinned.

How would you feel if you were a student who walked into a classroom and was told by the teacher that instead of you taking a test, the first two people in the room took it... and the rest of the class is going to be graded on how they do. Plus, every other class in years to come. Does that sound fair? No way! You'd blow up in the teacher's face, and rightly so.

What makes it different when it comes to original sin? And just saying something about God being God and he can do whatever he wants is a pretty poor answer.

Original sin is a pretty stupid concept. Personally, I think our children are born perfect. We corrupt them. Our world corrupts them. "Sin," however one wants to define it, is a learned behavior.

Mastery of mass manipulation! Is it right that one recruit "sins" (falls out or screws up ) and all his buddies are made to run an extra mile for his short commings? Only when teaching with a manipulative brain-washing technique. Recruits are all dressed the same, heads shaven, motherless maggots that need to do things one way, by one entities rules in order to become "Soldiers". Religions use the same concept. All mankind is said to be born sinful and we need to go by the rules, whatever they may be, or suffer some kind of wrath from a God created by the ruling power so as to manipulate the masses. No offence to anyone, just my take on things.

Hi,

My understanding is that the snake is the ego mind. The apple is judgement, the tree is good and evil, like dualistic thinking. The original sin is committed every moment by us. (not by newborns, they know they are one with God, it is learned) We seperate ourselves from God, God has never left us we left Him.

It is believing in good and evil, as if God can have an opposite, as if anything real can exist outside of Him. We believe the snake. the ego mind// We see everything relative, while God is only Light. Christ consiousness is the other way of thinking. (hard to tell you you live in an illusion that is what i am saying though. none of us are free al of us are chained)

The moment we realise there is only God, the illusion falls away, the veil is lifted at the wedding we are all heading for.

The sin is seperation. Ego-mind left us believing we are seperate from God, while in the real we are all One. (7th heaven and up)

One Love, One Heart.

Love

PS the ego mind is the wicked that will burn and ony if (and as long as) you identify with it you suffer with it.

OK...first of all Sin is Sin...there's no different type of sin...God reigns on the just as well as the unjust. Nobody is "paying a price Jesus got up on a cross and died for our sins!!! Who do you know would do that? Jesus loves you, even when you DO sin...as long as you repent whole heartily and don't do it again, every thing's alright.I know this because my Bible told me so. I hope my answer wasn't a "poor" one...lol...my answer is based off of experiences and from the heart.

Be Blessed..

Original Sin is an explanation of where our sin-nature comes from. God seeing the Past and Future knows that all mankind will sin. You are judged for your sins alone.

Secondly, while you may think it unfair to be condemned for Adam's Sin you are redemned by the 2nd Adam, Jesus Christ. Redemption is available to all and condemnation will be earned by all that do not accept Jesus.

I have asked a similar question before.

And the answers have usually been: god is perfect, whatever god does is good, therefore judging us for a crime we did not commit is acceptable.

Only a christian could accept such drivel as reasonable.

There is no sin in man. What we call sin is either misunderstanding, mis-appropriation, or mis-acted

We are children of divine...how can we be sinner

Religions fool you when they call u a sinner

we are all on the path of truth..

Newborns are innocents, they were born of sin, but have not yet sinned themselves. Jesus died for our sins, and therefor we dont pay for Adam and Eve's sin we pay for our own should we commit it.
