Yes, but he didn't, he merely read aloud from the writing of a dead guy from centuries ago, and that set the stupid muslim pedophiles into a fit. I say we should all go to usenet and report all the prophet cartoons to really get them so mad they kill themselves in rage. That always cracks me up.

No. As Christianity with it's various sects is still the religion with the largest number of atrocities committed in it's name. Islam and Muslims are no worse than the Christian crusaders were.
I am quiet sure that if you do some historical research you will find that a great deal of the animosity which exists between Chris tans and Muslims today are a direct result of past actions of Christians or alleged Christians, western Christians and western christian organizations in particular.
The entire Christian Muslim battle has been going on long before the writing of the Q'ran, before Mohamed..and it was all started by western Christians.
Oh, by the way I'm not moslim.. as a matter of fact I grew up catholic- protestant, Anglican to be exact or what americans call Episcopal.

The pope should not be criticizing any other religious belief. What he needs to do is clean his own corrupt church. Instead of wasting time giving lame speeches he needs to go out and encourage catholics to help people in developing nations.

Well, he may have had a point bearing in mind what the muslims are up to recently. Then again, considering the sort of person Muhammed was you can't blame them can you.
