LOL, i always thought it was disgusting too. and for those of you who answer "you dont get it and i wont explain it" type answers thats the same as a kid saying "i know but im not going to tell" means your full of it, you dont really know. there is no explanation for pretending to eat someones flesh and drink their blood. (ooo but its only a symbol.... ooo but it actually means...) yah yah, still disgusting.

see i went to a christian school for 12 yrs, i understand what it means, i just cant imagine pretending to eat flesh and drink blood and then justifying it by saying "its in rememberance of his death" cause last i check sane people dont eat our dead...

If you really want to know then think about this concept. First of all, as a cradle Catholic I have been consuming our Lord's Flesh and Blood in the form of the Eucharist for most of my life. I struggled with the concept for a long time wondering why Jesus couldn't have left us something else other than His Flesh and Blood since it brought up so much controversy. Then one time while reading the Book of Ezekiel, I was shown the truth. Ezekiel was instructed to eat the scroll, which he did, and then he was told to speak to the house of Israel.

[Ezek 3:1] He said to me: Son of man, eat what is before you; eat this scroll, then go, speak to the house of Israel.

So, the concept derived from that passage is that Ezekiel was strengthened to speak the word of God after he consumed it (the scroll). Consider the beginning of the Gospel of John:

[John 1:14] And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth.

Jesus is the living Word of God. When we eat his flesh and drink his blood we are consuming the Word of God which strengthens us to speak in his name.

I always believed I was eating his flesh and drinking his blood, but never really understood why. Now I feel that God answered my struggles by revealing the truth to me through the prophet Ezekiel. I hope this helps you.

If God is infinite than he could make a version of himself that tastes good.. really.. so yeah.. given the chance, I'd eat God's flesh.. after all, Jesus said "If you ask your father for bread does he give you stone? no.. he gives you bread.. so where is the father going to come up with this bread unless from himself?

What a sad understanding of scripture you have....

If you care to actually learn about the topic, I'd be glad to help you out...

For a starter, try reading what the Levitical laws commanded Jews to do in regards to consuming flesh and blood.

That is a metaphor its not to be tooken literally. The flesh is the bread and the wine is his blood. Its to commemorate His death and look back on what he has done for us.

You don't get it, and I'm not explaining it to someone who isn't going to listen.

Jesus loves you!
