Hi there,

link in with a good Dr then go see a councellor to find out what the cause of your depression is.

As the clinical reason D.S.M.iv the medical bible if you like on depression say's that Depression is Anger turned inwards>

But if you are going to go into a self analize thing you need to be aware that you need the time to work through whatever it is that is causing the depression!

Also get a full physical done also as you condition may be the result your thyroid over-acting or vice versa.

Knowledge is power... also link into a support group for people who are going through similar situation as this can be very theraputic..... but don't allow yourself to become imersed in this as it will pass...

Also keep a diary of your dayly thought's and possible trigger's for your depression.

and tell yourself that this will pass and that you are taking charge of yourself and not your state of mind controlling your life...

Good luck

Call 911 ... this could be an emergency! Actually tho, depression is a serious matter. We all have some of it, but some more than others. The best way to cope with depression is to be involved with your work. Make your work fun. Good, Better, Best ... Never let it rest. Friends are good for relaxing, but with your mind on work, you will never be alone.

The best way to cope would be to see a counselor or psychologist, discuss your feelings and your options. Depression can be treated and controlled in most people with medications, psychotherapy or a combination of the two.

If you don't have a family doctor, get referrals from family and friends. Make an appt with him/her and they will help you find the best medicine for you. Don't be afraid to get help. That's what they are there for. Wellbutrin has worked well for me for over 2 years now. Also, if you do get on medication, never stop taking it cold turkey. If you did, your condition would severly worsen. Spend some time with family or friends when you are down. This will bring your mood up.
