Nottingham is a city filled with history and legend, whilst many people here have answered crime is a big problem. There are no-go areas in nottingham but then there are no go areas in every city and vilolence is not as great as other parts of the country including Glasgow where I live now. It depends a lot on where in nottingham you live, St, Anns and the Medows are not good. However the other suberbs (of which there are plenty) are nice enough. You would have to be more specific as to which part of
Nottingham you would be staying to get a better answers.

I liove on the outskirts of Nottingham there are some good places and bad just like everywhere else I suppose but im happy enough.Hope this helps !!

NO! is the short answere. But to be a little more constructive, Gun crime, drugs, forget walking through the city centre on a weekend night and thinking its safe. Most pubs are pretty awfull and if you like the coast the nearest beach is Skegness spelt cesspit. Good points one day soon I may have saved enough to move

I lived there - 3 years as a student and a further 6 years on and off afterwards, mainly in Sherwood. I loved the city, especially the shopping!!

apparently it's got the highest murder rate in England and Wales! so at a guess I'd say it's not the best place to live.

The place has one of; if not THE highest gun-crime rates in the UK,.... one year, (hundreds of years ago I hasten to add),.. its bows & arrows,...... now it's guns,. bizarre!
