I've known this guy for about 2 months and I'm pretty sure he likes me. He's pretty reserved but he's given me compliments a lot and he always shows up in places I'm at. He hasn't asked me out yet. He's a lot older than I am (I'm 24, and he looks to be in his late 40s or 50s). A couple of nights ago a group of us from work went to dinner and he was one of them. He asked me to sit by him, so I did...but then another guy sat on the otherside of me at the end of the table. I didn't want him to feel left out so I began to talk to him more. Suddenly the guy that likes me asks me to change seats with him (he gave a reason that seemed fair enough) so I did, which put me sitting between a girl and him.
From that I can see that he might be the jealous type? And also, do you see him as already claiming me as his sort of "property" because...I mean, he hasn't even asked me out...is this bad news?

"Bad news"?? All it means is that he's interested in you and is trying to minimize his competition. If he hasnt asked you out yet, its likely because he's very aware of the age difference and is hesitant about what your reaction might be. NO one likes rejection, least of all a middle-aged guy asking out a young woman. If you're interested, try asking HIM out instead. There are no rules that say it has to be the man who makes the first move.

Yea, he seems to be the stalker type to if he shows up at places your at out of the blue.
The age difference will be a problem, if u get into a relationship with him shortly he'll view you as a child as you are about 1/2 his age and start trying to control you.
Don't get any where near that honey!

Hey, honey i'm not trying to tell u what to do but..... that guy is probably in his late 40's...... come on, unless your just plain attracted to older guys then i would look for a guy thats around 25 or 26 or even 27 but not 40ish because u won't have anything in common.

I say give it some more time. See if it happens more in the future. Heck, maybe at any minute he'll ask you to be his. Be patient. But if it does continue to happen then forget about him. You don't need someone who thinks they own you, Find someone better.

We have a saying in Trinidad. It is better to be ah old man darling than a young man toy.
Seriously though, Forget him. Half way in to the relationship he might start to beat you.
