There are a number of stomach ailments that can cause that. I have gastritis which causes nausea among other things. He may also have food allergies. His better bet to keep a diary of what he eats and when he doesn't feel well. It may pinpoint what in particular is causing it, esp if it is food. Next would be a trip to doctor. If he does have something like gastritis, it can be treated with antibiotics.

It is most likely his meds. Lotrel can cause dizziness in most people. He has to use caution when moving up and down when using this med. This could be adjusted by taking a dose at a different time or changing the dose frequency, etc. But DON'T HAVE HIM STOP TAKING HIS MEDS! Just get it fixed if it is a problem. I don't know how long he has been on it, but it takes a while for you to get use to most meds (few months)Frankly, your health care provider or pharm. should have notified you of this common side effect. As far as the stomach is concerned, it could be a number of things and more information is necessary. If it is severe, you need to see your health care provider and notify them of these signs and symptoms. I don't know his history, so this is difficult to answer on here. But my money from the dizziness is defintely could be the lotrel. Good luck and if it truly affects his daily life, see a provider!

If he gets dizzy to the point where he can't walk very well, tell him to lay down for an hour or so. A lot of times it could be just his equilibrium out of wack for the moment.

make him go to his doctor. my aunt had the same symptoms of feeling dizzy, but nothing was wrong with her. they finally found out she had a rare form of brain cancer. I'm not trying to scare you, rather save a life...but make him go, if he's 66 he should go anytime he feels wierd..lol I know that sounds crazy but wouldn't you rather pay the doctor bill and know that he's ok? good luck!
