Yes! With instant, refrigeration is as good as storing in freezer! I make a coffee mousse with mine, and surprisingly it's tastes the same a year after purchasing.

I hate instant coffee but I do usually keep my coffee beans in the freezer they stay fresh for a longer time. So I guess it's the same. Try it you will like it better I am sure!

makes no difference, I mean on a rational basis.

this being said coffee kept in the refrigerator could, in theory, keep its flavour a little bit longer, as opposed to one stored at room temperature.

I don't like the taste of instant coffee, I do keep my coffee grounds in the fridge though.
