I keep reading that guacamole is fattening but I don't add sour cream or mayo... I just mash it up, chop up some tomatoes, onions, a little bit of red cabbage, lemon juice... a little salt and pepper and some parsley flakes.. I love parsley and put it on EVERYTHING! I think this makes a GREAT guacamole...you can add some cheese but that's only MORE fat grams... just as good without the cheese... let me know if anyone tries this... I think it's delicious!!

Avocados are high in fat, but good nutrition. In moderation, better for you than french fries or any junk food like that, too. Guac has a lot of fattening ingredients like sour cream, mayo, etc. I just mush my avocados up, add a small amount of salsa, garlic powder, salt and cumin. It's much lighter and you get more avocado flavor. Yummy.

Avocadoes are really fattening, but it's supposed to be a "good" fat. Also, that fruit has other vitamins, minerals, and oils that are healthy. But depeding on who made the guacomole, it could be much worse. There could be added salt, more fat, etc.

If you eat too much, it can be - avocados are high in fat. But, it's good fat (unsaturated) and avocados have a good amount of vitamin C, thiamine and riboflavin.
The chips are much worse!

Depends on how much of it you eat. Half an avocado has 7 grams of fat. However, it is the good fat for you.

It does have some fat in it, but it's the "good" fat that we're talking about here, monounsaturated fat, that is very good for your heart.
