Same problem!!
I have found the only way to get my hair to curl and stay curled is using my hair straighteners. Spray on some styling spray or hairspray and heat proteter and take small sections of the hair and runn the irons down the section turning them as you go. You might need to hold them in place for a few seconde to curl better.
Using wet gels etc i find make the curls fall out so stick to a hairspray once you have done. Is a bit tricky so maybe get a friend to help x

Your hair needs to be dry when you attempt to curl it if you are using a curling iron, hot rollers, ect. You will need to use a styling product in your hair while it is still damp and then blow dry. You may have to try a few to see what works. Loreal has a few decent products that are not to expensive. I myself like Pantene products, the tend to wash out of my hair much better and do not leave as much build-up. Make sure you are not using too much, it will just weigh your hair down. Also the size of the barrel on your curling iron has a lot to do with achiving curls on different types of hair. Practice when you don't have any plans, and Good Luck!

maybe it wont curl for the same reason i cant straighten mine, it just doesnt. Genetics or whatever. Wet set is good for something like this. Get some gel that will hold it, and tease your hair a little to bring out any natural curl thats there. Also, what you can do is dependant on your hair type....more detail?

Have you tried heated rollers? You can use those while your hair is towel dried....but make sure to run a comb through the strand you intend to wrap. Usually it takes about 1/2 hour for my hair and it stays curly until I wash it again.
Also, Loreal makes this stuff called "hot spring"...it's in a pink bottle. It's a little like hairspray...but you have to use it on dry hair. But it really does work prettywell, but don't overdo it with that stuff, cause it'll look like you went nuts with hairspray.
What else??
Loreal also makes springing curls..in a white bottle. That's usually what I use before I roll my hair. It holds the curls really well....Good luck!!!

My hair is VERY strait.
It is hard to get it to curl.
Something that I've found to work, is to get your hair wet...
Scrunch it up until it looks wavy (takes a couple minutes)
Spray a decent amount of hairspray on it, and continue scrunching while using a blow dryer.
After your hair is dry, it should be wavy and somewhat curly.
Spray another decent amount of hairspray, and it should look awesome.
If you're using a curling iron or regular hair curlers, make sure your hair is dry, then while your hair is in the curlers/curling iron, spray a little bit of hairspray.
After you've curled all of your hair, spray it all again.
It should last most, if not the rest of the day.
If this doesn't help, I'm sorry. -.-
But it's worked for both me and 2 of my close friends. <3

yes use a moosse for curl enhancement when damp , then try curling your hair .
perhaps your using to much hair at a time .
r u using tongs or curlers ??
gel spray is also good as soon as you have taken hair from tongs or curlers , dont separate spray and let dry for atleast half an hour before you separate the curls .
hope this helps .

Find someone who can braid hair but tell them when they plait it instead of putting pieces of hair over each other go under.do this when you have just washed hair if your hairs fine add mousse or gel spray if not you can use conditioner both will stop it from going frizzy.go to bed with two braids in at the back of head parting down the middle and leave to dry till the morn.when you take braids out next day do it gently so you don't separate it to much.i do it all the time with my hair nice thick waves you should end up with.

+ cut up an old t-shirt or whatever..cut into strips
+ grab a piece of hair
+ put the 'rag' at the tip of your hair
+ all role it up when you get to the top of your head knot the rag!
+ do your hole head like this
+ leave them in over night then the next day take them out
+ dont brush it because it will go a mess just put in some moose or hair spray
+ finished you have gorgus curly hair

I have a lot of touble curling my hair, but the best thing I have come across is nicky clarke heated bendy rollers, with hair serum for curly hair, it stays in all day or all night. I used to put my hair in buns or plaits while its damp overnight or earlier in the day if your going out that night, It gives it a wavy tousled look.
