I agree with tonalc1

It "does" depend on who you are paying.

Some places that say the payment is due by 5pm on a certain date "will" count it as a late payment if you pay it at 5:01pm on that date.
Some have a grace period that will allow a few extra days.

But it's always the best to pay on time or earlier.

A "30-day late" means that you have not paid the bill as of 30 days after your due date. So if you pay a credit card or other payment a few days late, you will not get dinged on your credit, nor will it be considered a "30-day late". You will possibly get a late fee from the creditor, but it is NOT considered a "30-day late" until it's been 30 days after the payment due date.

So in your case, if payment is due on the 20th of September, and you pay on the 21st of October, you will possibly get hit with a "30-day late".

You should call the specific creditor to find out the exact details, as they may vary by company. Some may be more lenient than others. Also note that many companies take a few business days to post payment, so it's best not to leave it to the last minute. Just realize that paying a few days late isn't the end of the world, but a "30-day late" should be avoided at all costs.

their billing cycles. if they do not receive a payment from the time the send you out one bill to the time they send out the other, that's considered a late payment. some are very picky about this and will demand you pay or have the payment arrive to them on the day it's due by a certain time. others are somewhat lenient and will allow a couple days to pass without considering it a late payment. if your postmark shows that you sent it out prior to the due date, then it's okay. then again some other companies are extremely picky about this and make you send it in a week beofre. all depends really.

It depends on the company. Some consider one day late to be 30 days late, as you are paying for past-due amounts.
