They always seem to point out what they think are contradictions in the Bible and Christian beliefs in general, but they never attack another religion. Oh well, maybe they're just doing the bidding of their master.

Because that would be unacceptable.

Anti-Christianism is the last acceptable bigotry. Anti-Catholicism even more so...

I easily have examine the Bible all by, parts of it many times. I favor the OT because it really is often in tale format and has not been prettied up as a lot. I easily have tried countless circumstances to envision the Koran and function made it by a number of the passages (sirrah?). It rambles so and keeps taking breaks to placed as a lot as Allah, so it does not carry my interest ok. I easily were informed that the interpretation I easily have received't be between the better ones. regardless of the reality that I easily have not examine the e book of Mormon, I easily have examine comparisons on Mormon, Catholic, Protestant, and Jehovah's Witness denominations with some quotations. upload: Oh, yeah. i'm also operating my way by the Message (a movie). this is the tale of Mohammad (saws)written and directed by employing a non secular Muslim. regardless of the reality that Mohammad (saws) under no circumstances looks contained in the movie (taboo hostile to graven images) the author of the action picture develop into concentrated by employing countless minor Jihads. Of exciting word is that he filmed the action picture concurrently in English and Arabic employing an same instruments even as replacing a number of the actors.

I don't need to point out contradictions in the Koran. Only that it preaches hate and intolerance despite claiming their god is loving and accepting. Oh, that's a contradiction. There ya' go.

As for the rest, no one else tries to shove their religions down my throat, so I don't gag on them and vomit them back up.

Even the mormons who have come to my house have been utterly polite. Their approach boils down to, "Hey, we're just out and about because we believe in this God fellow and we think he's great. If you have any questions, feel free to let us know. If not, hey, great to meet ya' anyways! Have a wonderful day!" That is so AWESOME to me, and is what witnessing is SUPPOSED to be all about. If I were ever to consider the evidence and come to the divine conclusion, I'd either return to Roman Catholicism, which isn't all that missionary any more in the USA, or Mormonism, because it knows what missionary work really is.

On the flip side, the christian missionaries, when I tell them I'm an atheist, launch into thumping their bibles at me, telling me I'm going to hell, that I'm not human, that I am so stupid that maybe I am proof I'm from an ape, etc.

I believe religion is the right of every human being on the planet, that everyone has the right to believe according to their conscience. However, the moment they forget that their rights end where mine begin, their butts are mine and their religion becomes fair game. And if they're still standing in the way when I vomit it back up, well, they should have stepped to the side when I started to gag. It's their own fault, really.

Religion is spoofed. everyone is trying to save there parents beliefs. Its a waste of time because religous books dont have modern facts.
Everyone get there first religion experience without knowing the GOD, Bible or Quran properly. And even 7 year old child will say I'm a Muslim or I'm a christian.
Then when they grow up- They will say , My religion is the best and you can convert to my religion if you like. The grown up may be a total edi0t who dont have any other education and common sence.
....it goes like that..

They all do have contradictions, there is no denying that!

It's just that it's not Muslims or Mormons that have the political clout here in the USA. It's Christians who espouses their religious beliefs into government laws and policies, their only justification being a book that is subject to different and contradictory interpretations.

Christianity is the most dominant religion in America, and the only one trying to force it's beliefs into our laws.

I'm sure that Atheists and Agnostics living in arias where the Koran or the Book of Mormon are the most prevalent "holy books" have found contradictions in them.

I don't have a master, jackass. Cut down on the smug, ok? You make baby Jesus cry.

I'm an agnostic. I make it a point to point out contradictions and inconsistencies in any religious book..

The bible seems to have the most though, sorry.

And for the record, the Devil is a Christian belief so as an agnostic I couldn't "do his bidding"--much to your chagrin I'm sure.

Have a nice day :-)

Alright - here's a contradiction in the book of Mormon:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joseph_Smith%2C_Sr

The story of Joseph Smith. He found tablets in the woods, dictated them out of a hat to Martin Harris, Harris took them home to his wife, who kept them, then Smith had to read the golden plates again, but made "changes" due to some influence of god so that the veracity of the plates could nto be proven.

Sketchy? Of course.

I personally don't know enough about the Koran, so I don't presume to know. I know the Bible though. 18 years of being a Christian certainly didn't go to waste.

Oh, are you saying their master is Satan? Nice...

But I think if the Koran and the Book of Mormon become more prevalent in this society, and as more Muslims and Mormons try to convert others, you'll hear more about those books.

The atheists I've seen here don't seem any more thrilled about the Koran than the Bible!

Most atheists and agnostics are from Western nations. Most western nations are officially Christian, whether or not society in general is secular. Hence, during our formative years we are taught about Christianity and the Bible much more than they are any other religion and it's holy book. I don't say the Koran is full of inconsistencies because I haven't read it. I say the Bible is full of conatradictions and inconsistencies because I have read it and have found it to be so.

Most atheists and agnostics do not 'attack' other religions, merely express that they don't believe. You however are clearly trying to stir up trouble, so who's worse?

We do not attack Christians
We defend ourselves from those who attack us, which just so happens to be most often the Christians.

And by the way the book of Mormon and Koran are both just as full of contradictions and totally provably wrong statements.
