I'm 5'2 and weigh 140. Yeah I'm a little on the chubby side. I was told it was genetics, but that's no excuse to why I can't lose the weight. I am a very determined person when it comes to anything I do. My problem is finding the right diet. So if anyone could give me helpful advice I would really appreciate it! Don't suggest surgery. I want to lose weight naturally. This way I feel like I've accomplished my problem, instead of paying a doctor to suck my problem away. Thankyou

So far I've been drinking water only, but I want to know what I should be eating.

I am 5'2, well 62.5 inches and i currently weigh about 130. I am very athletic though. I also believe that it is genetics as well for me. I don't diet now to be honest but I exercise profusely. However when I first started out at about your weight trying trim down, I cut red meat entirely. I only ate chicken and fish as meats. I stayed away from white condiments such as mayo, sour cream, buttermilk(ranch) dressings. Absolutely no carbonated beverages. This includes Sports drinks if you're not ridiculously active. Preferably skim milk or 2%. Natural oranges are great for cutting down fat too. Then, I didn't work out very much. So I lived by my diet religiously. I currently work out 5 days a week sometimes more. Run at least 3 days of the week for at least 2-4 miles and I work on muscle tone the other 2 days like abs and arms(biceps). So i don't diet as much now and i occasionally eat a hamburger with everything or indulge in a steak but only because I can now. Truthfully living on this diet for so long, I got accustomed to it and now I only drink water and actual friut or veggie juices and I enjoy it. I eat the way I described to you above 80% of the time now but solely because I work out so much, but when I didn't exercise as much it was 100% of the time. By the way though, don't base anything on how much you weigh, base it on how you look and the way your clothes appear. I'm not delivering any be happy with yourself bologna, by all means get in shape and look your actual best. I'm just saying that in weight I only lost approxiametly 10lbs but I lost inches in all the right places which is what actually matters. I wear a bikini to the beach and I do look good. So like I said pay attention to the way your clothes feel and ignore your scale for a bit.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

There is actually two methods to choose from to get rid of that tummy. The first is actually quite simple. It is the no flour no sugar diet. Sugars and refined flours are the biggest culprit in expanding America's waistline. You'll stay small if you eat sensibly and keep the sugar and refined grains out of your diet. Go for the bran. You can eat whole grain flour once you get the weight off.

The second route is a little more expensive, but it is very effective. It is the South Beach Diet. The link to the website is below. You can get the book at any bookstore.

I'm 5'7" and weigh 153. Over the past year and a half I lost over 40 lbs by doing weight watchers. One of the reasons I like this program is because you can eat whatever you want (in moderation of course)! If i decided one day that i want to have cake or something, then I know that i'll have to be careful with my points for the rest of that day. You also have to be aware that real weight loss takes time, it's not going to happen overnight and if it does, it most likely isn't going to last! Good luck!

I've only just bought one but its great. I'm not planning to lose any weight but i really just use it to manage my weight. I found that many people bag it out cause why can't you just run outside? But with the wii fit your paying for the convenience. I'm 20 and thinks its the best thing ever. I used to go to the gym but it was a waste of my time (as in time to drive there, shower, and carry my sports bag everywhere) plus i just couldn't afford it anymore. Just get it and try it out its better than doing nothing.

www.ediets.com has some great diet plans that are easy to follow and don't leave you feeling deprived. The cost it, I think, $15 per month? In additions, get on a regular exercise program. You need both good diet and regular exercise (including strength training) to lose wieght. Good luck.

you probably need no more than 1200 calories per day, I suggest you get on a balanced diet, fruits, vegetables and protein, stay away from fast food and fats, also fewer carbohydrates, you can count calories, also time to exercise, at least 30 to 45 min each day. to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you take in. good luck. keep drinking lost of water.

I lost 10 lbs. in a month just eating watermelon. After that I ate 2 meals a day instead of 3. You really can't deny your "splurge" items, so limit your yummies to one day a week & stick with that 1 day only. inherent biological body-type IS a main factor. My Mom ate like a bird & was overweight unless she ate only seafood - way expensive!
Good luck!
