HOMEOPATHIC,HOLISTIC AND ALTERNATIVE medicine. What kind of training do the practioners in each of the different kinds of medicine need? Are there state or national standards each must meet (i.e. state boards). Do any of the standard health insurance companies pay for these others practices? Have you ever visited any of these practioners?

There are so many different types of homeopathic treatments to discuss. Each discipline requires trainings of various length.

There is virtually no standard and regulations for practicing alternative medicine except in the area of massage therapist, mid wife and chiropractor. Some states has more regulations than others.

Some health insurance would cover massage and chiropractic treatments. I also seen some policies reimburse for yoga classes. But in general, it is no common for insurance policies to cover alternative treatments.

Since 'alternative' medicine is not regulated like traditional western medicine, there is no national governing body that I'm aware of. HOMEOPATHIC,HOLISTIC AND ALTERNATIVE medicine includes a wide range of specialties. You should do some online research into the specific sector of this that you are interested in

So far as I know, health insurance does not cover any kind of alternative medicine.

My mother regularly visits an acupuncturist and herbalist. She has had great results. She has been able to go off all her prescription medication and the acupuncture cured a torn disk in her back that traditional doctors claimed would require major surgery to fix.
