Dogs and cats do not have the proper enzymes to properly break down the sugar in milk which is called 'lactose.' You may have heard of people who are lactose-intolerant. They are also missing these digestive enzymes. If the proper enzymes are not present, the lactose remains undigested and tends to ferment in the intestine and cause diarrhea.
Some pets can tolerate a little milk, others, none at all. If your pet enjoys and appears to tolerate milk, you can give your pet small amounts.
Better yet, give your pet one of the special cat or dog milks on the market that have had the lactose removed.

No, just like cats, their digestive systems can't take it. It gives them gas and constipation. Sometimes they get sick, depending on how much they drink.
Even though cats like it a lot, they're not supposed to drink cows milk. Just their mamas.

I wouldn't give it to your dog as a daily treat or anything, but it doesn't harm them, I actually give mine milk when he is.......lets stay plugged up, it helps him get everything out

they are lactose intolerant, but just like people with the same problem you may notice little to severe consequences to his drinking milk.

a little milk doesn't hurt my shepard has to have the milk left from my cereal ...that is a must...
