i would write my self two weeks of menus then in the two weeks is up go back to the first and start all over.i would also write 3 or 4 for substuiting .......by doing this you can freeze if you have to much and it would not be to long in your freezer before you would use it again....the meat could be bought in bulk to save money and then froze as it would be used in your cycle...(cut in half)

Use this for Tuesday. Should give you leftovers for one more day
YANKEE POT ROAST, COLE SLAW AND JELLO:
Pot roast using the slow cooker
2 lb chuck roast

1 can cream mushroom soup, campbells
1 celery stalk, diced
1 onion, diced
2 whole carrots, peeled and cut
4 potatoes, peeled and cut in 1/4
1 crushed garlic clove
3 tbsp flour
1 Reynold's slow cooker liner, optional
The slow cooker liner makes cleaning up a snap!
In the crock pot, add the can of cream mushroom soup, a can of water, the lipton dry soup, flour and mix the ingredients well.
Add the roast and the garlic. Mix around til covered with soup mix. Add the onions and veggies. Add water to barely cover the veggies (remember the water level may go up during cooking!).
Cover and turn crock pot to med/low. Cook 6-8 hours and it will be so tender! Serves 3-4
MEXICAN COLE SLAW

1/2 bunch cilantro, finely diced
1 large tomato diced
1/2 cabbage, sliced and diced

Add fresh fruit like fresh strawberries, grapes, chopped apples. Let it gel for 4-6 hours. Mix up the jello and add 1/4 tub of cool whip. Add more if desired. Mix well, and its like an ambrosia.

spaghetti is always good..1 jar is about $1.50, noodles $.50 and meat is about $2 for a pound or lean ground turkey, this is enough food for 3 people and will last for 3 meals for one person...
also fried rice...one chichen breast chopped..one boil in bag rice, one can corn, 1/2 can peas and carrots, one egg...cost about 3 bucks and makes a lot of food...make it go further with 2 bags of rice..virtully no fat if you cook the chicken in chicken stock rather than oil..cost about $3 total
bake a whole chicken..season the outside and put in the oven for 2 hours...make a veggie for a side, chicken will cost about 4 dollars and veggies about .50 cents a peice and will last for 2 meals
and if you have leftover chicken, from the whole chicken, use it to make a soup, my favorite is dry packeged lentil soup..its $3 and you just add water and the left over chicken and sausage, if you like, and its really good

Experimenting is BEST WAY. Only you knows what satisfies your taste buds. Also, not knowing for how many people makes answering difficult. Are you planning a breakfast, a lunch, and a dinner. Best I can do without more info. Great answer Al.

Keeping health and vegi. prices in mind , I try to include one dal item and one fresh item in my meals .i.e. one -dry - storable item like any dal ,soya chunks, channa, rajma etc.,and one seasonal vegetable, sauted in a non stick wok to reduce oil consumption.
Weekends can later be reward time.
