Try it first without the salt. If your child doesn't like it, only then add a little salt.

Yum, Nekked Sketti.....I LOVE it!!! It has always been my comfort food.
I will drain the noodles in a colander and while that is happening, I will melt the butter with a bit of salt and pepper and garlic salt.
Then I will put the noodles back in to coat them and warm them up a bit, turn them out onto a plate and put parmesean cheese on the top.
Now, my sister is weird....she does buttered noodles and puts ketchup on them....yuck!!!!
A little salt will not hurt. Just like anything, moderation is the key.

Add salt and a bit of oil to the water before you boil the noodles. It gives a chance for the salt to actually enter teh noodles, flavoring them a little bit. The oil (just a tsp or so) helps to keep the noodles from sticking together when you put them in the strainer.

I've found it's better to add a tsp of salt to the water that you cook the noodles in. Butter contains salt as well, so between the two, you should be OK.

Salt will not kill a child. As a rule children do not suffer from high blood pressure. Why don't you ask the kid what they want. If the child is too young to speak, leave it off. They can discover salt another day.

I cook the noodles for my son the same as I do for me and my husband. If he sees us put salt on something he wants it too, so I usually pretend and he eats them right up...even though they don't have salt. Whatever works for your child.

No. Butter contains 110 mg of sodium per tablespoon. I do although add pepper. Overuse of salt could lead to lots of health issues including obesity and high blood pressure.

Salt, butter and parsley, that's how my dad made them for me. A little salt won't hurt your child, they need the Iodine that salt provides.

No! If your child likes noodles, you should feed only whole wheat noodles. They taste the same and are much healthier.
