Ohhh nice question... This is one of my major down falls but it doesn't anyways have to be looked at as a negative thing... The opposite of ego to me is to be humble or the case of the remember whens will do...Service is great on the ego any time there is a chance to give back i do...i.e chairing, commitments and even at church...This whole being-a-grownup thing is a pain but my ego has gotten me through some difficult things... Again to be aware is to be alive and if you ego is acting up haha i'm sure someone will put you back down to size... have a good day

Do some charity work. Often that will show you that the stuff that you think makes you so great, is actually meaningless in the grand scheme of things. I mean it is fun to be attractive and one might be vain about that, but when you are doing volunteer work with handicapped or disadvantaged kids, you realize that it means squat and can't actually help you with the really important things in life.
Another good way would be to go around town in disguise for a day - try to live in another man's shoes for a day. If your ego issue would be looks, you could try making yourself look ugly or dressing badly and going to a new part of town (where you wouldn't know anyone, of course) and see how people treat you as you go about town - to the grocery, the book store, on the bus, whatever. You will begin to learn that rather than be vain about your looks, you should be thanking your lucky stars - because the life of a confident attractive person is a LOT easier than the alternative.
Peace!

You need to have an extremely humbling experience.
Unrequited love could help, as would any other failed emotional endeavor. Public shame and embarassment would work. The real kicker is that you will need to become aware of the emotional pain that a big ego can cause, and it will probably go away.
If you don't want to feel the pain, you should start doing things with others in mind- volunteer your time for a worthy cause, spend time with your family and strengthen those relationships.
Take your mind off yourself.

I would suggest finding someone or some group of less fortunate
people and volenteer to help in some way . It is the best way I can think of to get out of self and realize that there is more to life than thinking I'm special in any way .
I believe you will find the results are very rewarding .

If that is your picture hunny, I dont know why you have an ego. A good way to break an ego is to start welcoming mean comments. You need to find people that are going to tell you exactly how it is...

The first thing to do is to accept your faults and never defend them.
The second thing to do is to try and think about why those faults are there, and never to attribute them to some of things people like about you.
The last thing to do, is to rectify those faults, and never look back.
