Depends where you get-
One medium size container of movie popcorn, with butter, contains 900 calories and 60 grams of fat! Yes, it will make you fat.
But 1 serving of Orvill Reddanbacher Light microwave popcorn has only 2 grams fat and 120 calories. No, it will not make you fat.

Not if you go easy on it. Air popped popcorn has about 30 calories for 1 cup. Microwave popcorn has about 35 for 1 cup. Buttered is double that. BUT, how many cups do you eat at 1 sitting? That's the problem with me.

By itself it is healthy. It is the oil that you pop it in, and the butter you coat it with that will get you. Also, to be picky, should not put too much salt on it. One of the healthiest ways to make it is to use an air popper. You use some lo-fat butter spray on it, which also helps the salt to stick to it. Granted, this does not taste as good as the mega vat of buttered corn at the theatre, but it won't plug your arteries either!

Yes, you can have popcorn on a diet, but you must, absolutely must control the portion and frequency. Even, unbuttered, unsalted, air popped, cardboard flavored popcorn can make you gain weight if you eat too much. Either that or give you tummy cramps and diarrhea, and neither option is a very desirable state of affairs.

The most natural and healthy diet for humans is an omnivorous diet, and not a plant based diet, or a meat-based diet per se. The Paleo Diet can be very widely varied and omnivorous for the most part, but the most important thing is that it’s unprocessed, and avoids the worst foods that agriculture brought mankind… refined inflammatory vegetable oils, refined grains (some are worse than others), and sugar! Learn here https://tr.im/vWucA
As you can see, the benefits of adopting a Paleo way of eating can be incredible! I’ve been eating 95% Paleo for the last 5-6 years and I’ve never felt better. I have dozens of friends that have adopted a more Paleo way of eating too, and have seen all sorts of health problems disappear, including eliminating acne and other skin problems, digestion problems, improving brain clarity, and of course, losing a lot of body fat!

Anything can make you fat if you eat too much of it. Just eating a serving of air popped or microwaved (not in those bags with all the oils) popcorn won't make you fat.

Plain popcorn, nothing on it at all, is quite a low fat snack. It's the salt/butter/toffee etc that does the damage...

all depends how much of it you eat.
It's not an especially highly caloric food. But it's also not all that nutritious either.
it's popcorn. The air stuff isn't as caloric as the buttered- but then it's not as satisfying or tasty either.
