Welcome to the next 20 years of your life. I know this isn't what you want to hear, but this is the truth, I have 2 children and each pregnancy is usually worse. Good luck though, You will be fine :)

My first suggestion is not to take Tylenol PM without checking with your doctor. I don't think it's a good idea, but I may be wrong. Also, if you feel like you can't breathe while lying down, try sleeping with more pillows, or do what I did and sleep in a recliner. I'd definitely call your docs office if this continues, I'm sure they have safe options to help you be more comfortable for the next 2 months.

Have you tried taking a warm bath before bed, possibly reading or listening to some relaxing music? Is your bed comfortable? Using extra pillows can sometimes help as well. I would try to also stay away from caffeine and sugar, those aren't friendly when you want to rest. A high protein snack before bed can sometimes help too. Are you anxious in general about the pregnancy, perhaps talking to a friend or spouse can help ease your nerves a bit. You should also talk to your doctor, there might be something going on medically with your preganancy.

I went through many sleepless nights when I was pregnant with my daughter. Then I read "The Ultimate Gift", by Jim Stovall - a great book, no matter what you're going through - and I started sleeping on my side, with a pillow between my knees. I didn't realize how much pressure was on the nerves of my lower back until I started doing that. I really tried to avoid meds of any kind because I was worried about the possible effects on the baby. The pillow totally took the pressure off and I slept great. Until she was born, of course!

doesn't that suck. Everyone tells you "rest up" "get your rest now" but you just cant. You cant breath cause your baby is grow up into your chest. Hormones and frustration can make you do crazy things. I ended up sleeping by myself(kicking my husband out of the bed everynight) Worked with pillows trying to get comfortable. Filled my belly with warm milk and made sure it was cool enough, quiet enough. I still had problems but it was better when i did those things. Also try reading a non pregnancy book. Get your mind of your belly. It sounds like some anxiety about the new baby is keeping you up.

Try carrying twins. I have been an insomniac since i was 14 wks. It sucks and i wish i could give you suggestions but, i still cant figure it out. I do know how ever the more pillows the better but, i actually think i might just buy a new bed. I have a new bed but for some reason it isnt working. Good Luck!

Hate to say this but it only gets worse. Wait until you are 36 weeks and you'll wish you were 32 weeks again.

Just wait until the baby is born and you are up every 2 hours during the night!

Good luck and congrats on your new miracle!

My doctor recommended Unisom when I was that far along and couldn't sleep. Just one tablet and you're on your way to dreamland. I also got a body pillow to straddle for comfort. You can get the Equate brand of Unisom at Walmart for I think like $3. Best wishes!!!
