I can't find any references on-line to a pecan variety named mommanet, but there are literally hundreds of varieties available now, many that are specific to a particular locality. Consumers won't be able to tell the difference, but the unique characteristics of the individual varieties are important to growers.

In case you didn't know, pecans belong to the hickory nut familly, not to the walnut familly.

Haven't found anything on mommanet but usualy large pecans are walnuts.

Mahan is the largest variety I am aware of.
