I have just had a quote for a new boiler to be fitted,I have a combi boiler ,I need it replaced in the same position with a new one ,I can`t believe what the chap wants to charge us ,anyone recently had one,,,,please help,it has to serve 7 radiaors,

I would have thought £1200-1500 to supply and fit a replacement to existing pipework, but a lot depends on the size and type of boiler. Where are you?

The cost of the boiler is between £6-800 so to fit is a days work if all the pipework is there. £1200.00 is about right. You might want a second opinion on your combi first though, quite a newish boiler to write off?

have a look in b&q you should be able to get a boiler there for about £500 you didnt say how much this fitter wanted to fit it for you

combi is about £800 plus fitting try and get quotes from at least three people and then compare..
