You should be GRATEFUL that he's leaving his undies on the floor! What most women fail to appreciate is that men who leave their undies on the floor are usually better providers than those who are ultra-clean.

You see, in times of plenty animals can afford to be discriminating and wasteful. For example, look at bears eating fish. In a good year when they can catch a lot of salmon they eat mainly just the skin - since that's where the most calories are - and leave the rest of the fish. In bad years, they have to eat the whole fish. A bear who cleans up after itself isn't tidy, it's hungry.

Our caveman ancestors were no different. The most successful hunters didn't bother eating every part of the buffalo or with reusing every little item until it was completely worn out. They'd just use what they felt like using at that moment, and discard the rest. BUT, they could only live this way if they were confident in their ability to replace what they used. To discard buffalo parts was a sign of confidence in the hunters' ability to get more buffalo; to provide an abundant life.

As descendants of that ancestry, modern man is no different. To discard used items, like clothing, is not a sign of laziness or uncleanliness. It is merely a sign of self-confidence; a sign that he knows that he can provide for all the needs of his family.

At least that's what I tell my wife.....

I think it is a genetic trait given to them at conception. My son,14, and I (single mom who does not throw her skivvies in a wad on the floor, except well in the heat of something maybe but I always pick them up first thing in the morning) Anyway, my son takes his shower every morning and leaves his boxers where his feet would be in front of the toilet. For some reason I am always the one to put them in the laundry. I decided this week that I wouldn't. I don't use his bathroom anyway. So this morning there were FOUR pairs there. I'm waiting for him to run out of underwear and ask me about this. So to answer your question, I think they are born with it...

I guess I have another reason to be thankful, my hubby doesn't leave his laundry on the floor at all, I'm worse then he is.And underwear lying around is just plain gross, coming from an adult. No i don't think its a requirement.lol.

Wow! You're lucky if it's left on the floor, mine likes to leave his untidy, not so white-ies on the bathroom sink, or looped over the bathroom doorknob!! Othertimes, they're tucked between the footpost and the bed, or heck! Right in front of the toilet when he took his shower. I've threatened to run them up a flagpole for the neighbors to see, but then I thought, geez, that would just be more of a bad reflection on me for marrying this man! (smile)

I only leave them on the floor when I am getting into the shower. But then when I get out I put them in the hamper.

It's one of them! Although my husband leaves his socks on the nightstand and his underwear on the shelf behind the toilet, does that count? (If he left anything like that on the floor, he'd wake up to the dog having chewed it to bits!)

I don't know. But if you spray strong, girly perfume on the clothes he leaves on the floor, he'll probably learn real quick to put them away. ...... hee hee
