I am considering using cable phone service but I will have no way of connecting my FAX machine to the service unless I am able to connect it remotely as though it were a cordless phone. Is there a device available that would allow me to do that? It will be about 70 feet from the base which is fine for the telephone handset but some type of Bluetooth arrangement would probably be out of range.

Yes. Its called a wireless phone jack. It is a 2-part device that turns your household electrical wiring into additional phone jacks. The first part plugs in near a working phone jack. The phone cord is connected from the working phone jack to this device. The second part of this device is plugged in wherever you need an additional phone (or fax). Just plug it into any other outlet in the house and you can plug your phone into it.
