I am starting to remember bits and pieces of my childhood and the "church" my mother forced me to attend.
the place was big into icons of a dead guy nailed to a stick, and
there was some bizarre ritual where i was told to eat this guy's flesh and drink his blood.
What's up with that??

this honestly sounds like a satanic ritual.
a form of a cult.
how r u doing right now? are u attending a church at all?
it's not your fault that you MOM decided to get u involved with this. it wasn't your choice, since u were forced.
is your mom still involved with this satanic worship? if so, she's actually sold her soul to satan & hell.
u on the other hand, what are u doing right now?
how do u feel? what u're telling me turns my tummy. but honestly, this does happen in this world.
satan is real. he's got a hold of people & they do these off the wall rituals. but it's worshipping satan & hell. satan has now a hold on these people & owns their souls now.
some people take this lightly, they may not even be aware of the severity of their decisions.
the only 1 that can honestly help u & these people out is calling out on the name of "Jesus Christ".
He can deliver u & these people from demonic spirits, demons, satan, bondage.
Jesus christ can give u back your soul, to have eternal life, to live forever in heaven & not hell.
Hell's the last place anyone should go or even want to go.

It's possible that you were. But don't concentrate on the past, but on the present and future. My mother was taken to Satanist classes, and she has horrible, sick memories. But God has helped her overcome those memories of sexual abuse, etc.... Of course, your situation sounds like Black Mass, a backwards ceremony of Catholic Mass.
