Just found out my boyfriend is taking me on vacation at the end of the month want to lose at least 20pds. by then. Please help!!!

Do you really think that this is a good motivation for weight loss? If your boyfriend didn't care about your 20lbs of extra weight then what does it matter? Do you really think that a bunch of people you don't know, in a city that you don't live in will really care? If anything you will blend in with everyone else that is overwieght.

I'm sorry but I think this is a retarded question. "Oh I am a modern consumption whore. I dont think about the future because it is much easier to have instant gradification. Now I am fat and lazy. I don't want to work out, but I want to loose the weight. Could someone please give me an easy button? Give me a magic pill that I can take that will give me more instant gradification by taking of the weight. I know that the pill will probably harm me in the long run too, but I really don't care because it is about what I want now. I mean, like, what do you expect. I am all about materialism."

That might have been harsh, but its reality. If you are overwieght and don't like it then fix it. Its not going to happen over night, quit being lazy, that's probably how you got the weight to begin with.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

You can take the fork out of your mouth.

But seriously-- only 20% of your caloric intake goes towards actually moving your body; the other 80% is needed just to maintain your body temperature. Which means that exercising isn't going to make nearly as big a difference as cutting back on what you eat.
Cut your portions in half, and cut out all fat and dairy products, if you want a safe and healthy way to lose weight.

Ain't gonna happen baby! Take yourself to the doctor first before you start a diet plan. If you lose weight too fast ,it will cause your body to go into shock. When you lose weight fast,you end up in the "Yo-Yo Effect". That's where you lose the weight ,but regain it all back plus more.

I lost 12 pounds in three weeks. All I did was cut fast food out of my diet and hit the gym every other day for two hours straight with emphasis on cardio.
