This is a wierd way to do it, but I'm going to go to a florist and design a boquet I absolutely love, and then base the colors on that. I know that's wierd, but the first time I got married I picked the colors first and then had a really hard time finding complementary flowers.

I would go for a print fabric with rose and browns in it, but soft, soft colors. With a fabric that drapes nicely (crepe, perhaps) and a style that is ulta feminine, I can see this working very well.

The pastel browns (rose-brown) is very beautiful, like the color of a fudgsical but with a pinkish tinge.

With a pastel brown, a pastel blue would also compliment along with a cream color. Yellows and mauves don't work so well with brown but when working with pastel colors nothing really clashes too much. I would go with prints instead of solid colors and keep the dress style simple because simple styles are elegant. (If you look in a Vogue dress pattern book in a fabric shop, you will see what I mean). Pattern books are great places to get ideas.

Romantic? Lots and lots of flowers and a beautiful locale, by a lake. If you can afford it, violinists.

Have a wonderful wedding :)

I personally don't like brown in a wedding, but a friend of mine just got married and it was brown and orange and they carried Tiger lilly flowers and although it's really hard to picture, it looked nice for fall. Another good color with brown is green but its a hard color to incoropate into a wedding. What about purple? I love purple and brown together and that gives you really great options on flowers... Just look through bridal webpages/ magazines for idea. And also, close your eyes and imagine your perfect wedding. If it involves pink, your sis will understand. This is YOUR day! Congrats!

You can try a burgundy color or tan with a brown sash around the waste line or a brown wrap for the girls shoulders. Orange wouldn't be too bad as an accent color! Go to as many bridal shops as you can. There are a few web sites that you can design your own gown colors. Play around with that. Don't use your sisters colors. We females are funny about things like that!

A rich brown color would be very elegant paired with a color like cream or a rich green. My husband and I were married in January and we chose black and white and had a gorgeous candlelit wedding at 2 in the afternoon.

Romantic? Lots of little white lights, like Christmas lights, tulle and candles. The ultimate!

Brown is a beautiful color for a fall wedding. Too bad you can't use pink because that would be beautiful.

Chocolate brown and a lime green

Chocolate brown, burnt orange, cream accented with gold

These colors are awesome together. click links below to view to see the colors together. Congratulations and let us know which colors you chose.

The latest fall trend is a chocolate brown with a light blue. Very pretty colors! I'd have gone with that idea if I already hadn't chosen my bridesmaid dress colors already.

This may be kind of a weird answer, but check out some of the color combinations on www.gymboree.com . It is children's clothing, but there are lots of really pretty fall color combinations and most of them include brown.

Good luck!

Take a que from nature

Autumn leaves brown, yellow, red

For a theme a walk in the woods at autumn... Instead of walking up a standard runner you could buy floor floth and paint it to look like a cobble stone path through the woods....

At the reception you could have alot of trees with fall color leaves and a few park benches set in scene around the room, arbors with autumn colored leaves and vines.. Trellis work with vines...

Cake

To avoid a thanksgiving vibe avoid gords and cornicopias...

Wedding invitations

Have the photo taken in studio against a wooded autum background

Use candles in groups of 3 each with an autumn ring as centerpieces to set off the sparkle of the dinnerware, cutlary, and glassware.....
