I just have a mut I rescued from a shelter but my favorite would be a Black Lab. My great-grandparents had one for the first 23 yrs of my life and he was awesome. Very Obedient and sweet. Great with small children.Very loyal and caring. My pop died when I was 10 and the dog lived another 13 years to take care of my nan despite a number of serious illnesses at the end.
A quick story" My pop had me and bro in a small boat in a pond at our summer cabin in the middle of no where. We were very young. This was 30 yrs ago. The cabin didn't have a phone and there was no such thing as a cell phone. My pop suffered a heart attack and became unconcious. My nan and mom were frantic on the shore both could not swim. They decided one would go try to reach someone on CB radio. The dog swam out and took the rope and pulled the boat back into where they could walk out to get us.( Oh...my pop was fine after.)

Pit Bulls.
I own a Pit Bull and he is my baby. There is such a prejudice against them which makes the the under dog (literally) it is horribly sad. Pit Bulls are loyal, funny, brave, very intelligent, strive to be the center of attention, good with kids (even though you should never leave a child alone with ANY breed of dog), they are very trainable, and very loving. The list just goes on and on. My Pittie is a huge lap dog and would lick you to death before he does anything else. Everyone is his new best friend. He protects my family and his kitties. Pits are kind hearted but misunderstood. Irresponsible owners make bad dogs.

Well, my favorite breed of dog is the Boston Terrier. Mainly becuase my first "very own" dog was a BT and he was the most gentle, loving dog. BT's are bred solely to be companions for humans.

I like pit bulls they are so cute and very loyal. I know most people are afraid of them but I think it depends on how you have trained them. I have a red nose pit and her name is brooklyn and I have had her for over 5 yrs. She is the sweetest dog. I play with her even put my hands in her mouth and she is very loyal get along great with others. Think about it. Don't be turned off by what reports say.

My favorite breed of dog is the Labrador Retriever because of their loving, friendly personality. They are the greatest, you can do anything with them. I love to take mine swimming, he has the best time. And their coats are great for the summer and winter. So he goes with me camping, kayaking, swimming and hiking in the summer and in the winter he goes snowmobiling and sledding. They are very friendly so he can go out in public no problem and they are highly intelligent so they are easy to train for anything.

I have 2 favorite breeds:
1st the German Shephard. Why? Because they are loyal as hell and won't let anyone hurt you.
2nd the Cocker Spaniel. Why? Because they have beautiful wavy hair like me and they're just precious. At least until they get older and then they're just as bad as Pitbulls. They can be real attitudinal! But the wavy hair and the eyes over power the negatives about them.
