a person who REALLY stands for peace, like Ghandi?
According to many Futurist Dispensationalist teachers, the anti-Christ will promise and make strides for Peace but will secretly be plotting for the takeover of the world.
Could this be the reason why Christians are typically skeptical of leaders who attempt to bring about World Peace?
If so, what can be done to correct Christian attitudes towards world peace?

Xtians are Christians. I had to shorten the name to get every word in. Sorry I have to explain such things to you.

You people are really frightening. Not only do you not answer my question and go into a rant about the anti-Christ, but you only confirm my suspicions that Christians are uninterested and actually suspicious in peope and plans of peace. Scary.

kingreef, while this is true, many Christians who believe in the rapture still speculate on who the anti-Christ is and still are suspicious of people of peace...even reading the other answers confirms this

I was thinking the same thing yesterday, I was telling a few christian people I knew an idea I had to help make the world better.
I was thinking about setting up self-sustaining communities in various parts of the world and have them be a place of cultural understanding. It would be like the military with books and guitars.
They said it led to a one-world government and would be anti-christ like....
I was sickened.

Antichrist: [ against or rather of Christ ] The opponent of Christ, whom Christ is finally to triumph over. The be conscious happens in straightforward terms interior the recent testomony. [ 1John 2:18-22; 4:3; 2John 7 ], however the assumption became modern in Judaism and greater with the groth of the Messianic wish. at the same time as in straightforward terms John makes use of the term, the doctrine is taught else the place. Jesus himself warned His apostles of ''fake Christ's'' [ Matthew 24:5, 23, 24; Mark 13:21-22 ].

First off, we most likely won't be here to see the Antichrist's rise. The rapture (that is, us being removed from the earth en-masse, to meet Christ in the heavens) will occur before then.
Secondly, someone may try to kill the Antichrist... he will suffer a mortal wound to the head (be it from an assassination attempt, or from a simple slip while making breakfast, or anything in between), but will miraculously recover.
However, those who are saved, if any, after the rapture, would be far from trying to crucify him. Why give him the honor of dying in the same manner as Christ did?
Third, those who are saved, if any, after the rapture, would be persecuted and put to death by the Antichrist, by being beheaded.
Fourth, we all know it's going to happen, whether we like it or not, because it is God's will. Nothing we could possibly do to try and either start or stop it, will not start or stop it, because it is part of God's plan and God's timing.
Plain and simply put... if someone wants to *try* to get world peace, more power to them. 'Cuz as long as I'm here to see it, I know he's not the Antichrist. ...Bound to fail, yes; Bound to damn, no.

How did you know that I am so evil that I lay awake nights planning some new way to kill people that want peace..
This question is NONSENSE. Anyone who would believe that christian would kill anyone has no idea what they are talking about. The christian faith has no tenant that says anyone should die. We work to make Jesus known to those of you who won't read the love letter so that you won't die. Since you seem to think we are so evil I think you should plan a way to murder all of us... Jim

Rabbitacular,
Well, according to Dispensationalists, they won't be here to crucify any one. They will have gone in the Rapture.

If you are a true Christian, you will know that he is the anti-christ. God puts discernment in each and every Christian heart.

He will use the pretense of bringing forth peace 3.5 years and then wage war for 3.5 years
He will be involved with Jerusalem and the building of a temple there for the Jews. He will then take over that temple himself and call himself God.
I think it will be the Moslem 'Iman Madhi'
Please never say 'xtians', people will think you are ignorant
