animals see a hole. they go for it. they don't care what kind of hole it is. Sometimes it doesnt even have to have a hole. Just has to be sturdy.

A lot of animals dont' have any sort of knowledge of right and wrong - they just do whatever seems good at the time. Male, female - doesn't matter to them! But that doesn't explain those famous gay penguins. They don't just go for whatever hole is available - they only want eachother. It can't be genetic, because it's kind of impossible for truly gay penguins to pass on gay genes. Do penguins have free choice? Do they have the ability to think these things over? I don't know. I think they just have some sort of wierd anamoly. Like a mutation or something.

Dont believe animals choose to be gay and certainly it is not in their nature to be. When dogs are in heat for example they will hump your leg, but this doesn't mean that they are attracted to the leg. Nature has gave them cycles and the instinct and ability to reproduce, so they sometimes do odd things when they are in heat if the opposite gender is not around. The answer to your question is this... Animals can neither choose to be gay, nor is it genetic. When in heat animals are controlled by the instinct to reproduce and this drives them to do such odd things as humping legs, furniture, dragging their butt on the floor, and yes even offending the opposite gender. It is the DRIVE that causes them to do this, not a CHOICE and certainly NOT genetics!

Of course they don't choose. Everything animals in the wild do is instinct and genetics. Are you really implying that animals understand the difference between heterosexuality and homosexuality? That is ridiculous.

The man above me i am certain had no choice in his homosexuality. Yahoo answers is just another outlet for this poor animal to express his self-hating gayness.

it seems people react the same when they see two same sexed animals goin at it...try and stop it and break it up
how animals share affection is a mystery
by loving each other does that qualify as gayness
or loving self does that make us or them Narcistic?
what if we helped a stranger, does that make us strange?
